The Vancouver Canucks organization extends a massive congratulations to our newly acquired phenom Ryan Getzlaf for achieving history garnering his 1000th NHL point!!! Getzy has had an illustrious career over the years spending the bulk of his time as a Senator where he notched the club a whopping 444 points while hoisting 2 Stanley Cups with the franchise. Without a home to start the season for the first time in his career, the league seemingly felt the juice in the tank was running out for the 36 year old superstar. On November 3rd 2021, GM Daniel gave Ryan Getzlaf a call and offered him a spot on their starting roster to which he was absolutely ecstatic to dawn the Vancouver Canucks jersey and offer his support and leadership to the team! "I was honored when I got the call to join the Canucks organization, they have such a great team over here and it's been a thrill to play with such incredible people and offer guidance to our younger generation of talent.", said Ryan Getzlaf on joining his new team. "It's mind blowing to see the amount of work he puts in day in and day out, Getzy has showed me a lot in the short time he's been with us...", Calder Trophy frontrunner Lucas Raymond said after the game. "So proud for Getz, he deserves all the praise and more, a true privilege to have in our locker room.", Captain Canuck Connor McDavid said post-game.
