Huuuge Jeremy Swayman contract signing right there! 😅 Damn that took way longer than it should have, so happy he got his bag! 😎 WILD less than 24 hours scoop up of Lukas Dragicevic after he was dropped! 😲 Throwing shade early, love it. You guys like the Keeper designation on every Keeper on Yahoo or whaaat? 😊

Lane Hutson

Skating on second pair, power play
Hutson has made the Canadiens' roster for Opening Night against the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.
Advice: Hutson is an undersized defenseman that amassed 67 goals and 97 assists over 77 games in two seasons at Boston University. He showed offensive acumen in a two-game stint for Montreal at the end of last season, recording assists in both games. The 20-year-old, who was selected 62nd overall in the 2022 NHL Draft, is set to skate on the second pair and the second power-play unit.
🤣 Had to share this, guy must have been drunk while writing this/looking at the numbers! He actually amassed 30 goals and 67 assists in 77 games over two years for a total of 97 points. Still a remarkable feat and it'll be interesting to see him start the season. 👍

Hey guys, remember if you have any input on Derrick's roster just let me know, I can only manage the roster for the current day. I'm not sure when we should start thinking about dropping certain players and adding different ones as well? If anything becomes glaring we should discuss further. Great start to the season! Anaheim Ducks beating the Vancouver Canucks?? Shocking! 😲

I'm not sure when we should start thinking about dropping certain players and adding different ones as well? If anything becomes glaring we should discuss further. Great start to the season! Anaheim Ducks beating the Vancouver Canucks?? Shocking! 😲 What a start indeed. Different mix at the top after 3 weeks 👀. Some savvy quick pick ups like OEL (ah thank you), Granlund and Colton who are both on heaters. Hayton and Sillinger have been put into good spots and have something to prove. Should be interesting to track. Some wild ones too, like that Kakko character hehe. How about the ice cold starts by Hyman and Stamkos 🥶. Stamkos has to get on the board returning to Tampa tonight right?? I sure hope so. Hyman needs anything at this point, just knock it in with your head. To the crazy hot starts of Makar!!, Panarin, MacKinnon and Kaprizov... But all of them trailing Mark Stone??! Wild. Anyway yeah there are probably some moves to be made. Kurashev for sure, then I'd say Bjorkstrand and Tarasenko are on watch. It would be hard to drop Tarasenko so maybe just Bjorkstrand. But both have 3 points and minimal involvement so far.

It's still pretty early but interesting stuff going on for sure. OEL?? 😃 I don't see Granlund & Colton sustaining due to diminished opportunity once players are healthy but who knows. Sillinger is definitely looking good. Hayton was looking good but he's gone cold here and needs to do something quick, Eric Freeman looking mudder fucker. Kakko, yeah, he's looking good and Top 6 opportunity is just hanging out there for him to take, place him alongside Zibanejad & Kreider already. The fuck is that Reilly Smith goof taking that spot anyway? Kakko is your 2nd overall pick! Put him in a position to succeed. Gotta say, I'm mostly impressed by the Sharks goalie factory, ho-ly! All that scouting and effort is paying off! Especially that Yegor Zavragin TEEN doing unheard of things in the KHL. 😲 Also, Batherson out pointing Pastrnak early here! Gotta love it. I can't wait to make a bunch of you look like FOOLS. I'm taking those Senators Entry picks, it's happening. 😏

Lmao call out Kurashev, of course he scores... Soo keep him? 🤣 Pfft, you mean the 1a, +3, OEL? Yeah brutal. Well, you don't just get ice time because you were picked high. Kakko hasn't shown he deserved top 6 time. Says a lot there's a spot available and they brought in Smith to fill it. If he can't beat out Smith then ouch. Sillinger with a nice game

I dunno, I think it shows a bit of a lack of awareness by the coach of a player's pedigree, where he needs to play to give you the most of his skill set and who needs to actually develop chemistry with each other. Reilly Smith reeks of a third line player, is a UFA after this season and is 10 years older than Kakko. You have a lot of draft capital invested in Kakko and haven't really given him a shake at it with just one more RFA year. Playing a minute and a half less with lesser line mates than Smith Kakko has put up better numbers than him. I do notice a bit of a trend of teams somewhat stifling their young stars to maybe get them on better deals or something. I noticed it with Seth Jarvis last year, there was no reason to utilize him the way they were utilizing him. He was going off with no reason to drop to the 3rd line as much as he was being dropped but he was like 'Nah, fuck that, I'm gonna keep going off and you're gonna pay...' 😎 That's what Kakko needs to do.

Just call me "Mr. 1%" with that Cole Sillinger beast-in-the-making! He moved to Fantilli's wing today and seemed to work out pretty well. I don't see Granlund & Colton sustaining due to diminished opportunity once players are healthy but who knows. That LW spot is cursed! Pretty sure Colton was seen in a walking boot leaving the arena. 😞 Hopefully nothing too bad. Awesome tribute for Stammer in Tampa earlier, with a nice standing-O and chanting his name, good stuff. They should've gave him 1st star. Hellebuyck's reign of terror sadly ended tonight, but I think we can already go ahead and give him another Vezina at this point. 🤠

And McDavid 40 seconds in, going back to Edm. Really hope it's not bad but not the best sign. That tribute was awesome. Looked like cooper was getting emotional on the bench, that was cool. 2 apples is pretty much a goal haha. What a great game. Yeah I think Sillinger has a waaaaays to go before you anoint yourself anything lol

Kakko's problem is that he plays for a Lavi coached team - that man gives almost no leeway to young players. Also, can I get some of that goaltending you guys talk about

Hey guys, so I went ahead and added Adin Hill to the Senators roster and dropped Casey DeSmith. He came up on his 150th game and he can potentially play in his 151st game later today. I figured, DeSmith is a backup, he's played reasonably well but Hill has more value even though he hasn't been great. Also, I don't know if you guys have noticed but Derrick is indeed making his own moves and setting his lines for the most part, he has even edited his own Roster Page on the forum sooo I'm not sure what's going on, haha. If there's something major going on or what so I'm just gonna keep operating as we've been operating. I'll continue to check his team daily and make any necessary moves. Hopefully he says something here!
