You forgot to add the draft picks, which makes it even worse. I wonder if Chris changed his mind, haven't seen him.

I didnt add the draft picks because they are out of the question. had they been in the original trade i would have had to rethink my take on the trade because that is just completely absurd.
whoever keeps giving me negative karma is an ingrate bastard. ; )

Somebody better clarify because the original trade i saw didn't include any draft picks. Including the draft picks is as close to a mutiny as you can get, intended or not.

It has been three days since this poll was started, and there have been 4 votes. This is mindboggling. When I am going to see the eight votes or seven votes or whatever to veto? Whats the timetable on this poll? With current status of this vote, the trade is gonna go through.

Ahh, with the way the poll has gone, this trade is already vetoed. The percentage is 100% to veto, with nobody who is against a veto (even the other manager of the trade). Just because other managers aren't active doesn't mean you automatically get the trade to go through. Sorry bummies.

Veto the trade, seriously.

It has been decided that for this trade, each manager in the trade will get to cast a vote since they share opposing views. this doesnt serve much of a purpose, but in the interest of "fairness" we will proceed. after the poll is closed we will then discuss whether or not the league wants to change the veto rule from 8 to 7. so uh....vote away?

I think the rule should be that the 2 GM's involved in a trade that is going to the veto vote shouldnt have a vote. Just because in all fairness the 2 extra votes could send a trade through that shouldnt be. As for this trade I was under the impression that it was already vetoed and im lookin at other options

The two extra votes aren't going to send a trade through. The people for "not veto" dont decide whether a trade goes through. That's the point. The trade has already "gone through." It takes 8 votes to reverse that. All the people for changing the veto number to 7 all have different reasons, but none of them make sense. Why doesn't someone simply say "I think 8 is too much and I think it should be changed to 7?" That is a perfectly logical and acceptable argument.

I believe it's Buffalo and Ottawa left. Derrick is against the trade but wants to see it settled without him having to have the deciding vote.
