Toronto is extremely excited to welcome back Ilya "The Head Case" Bryzgalov once he is registered back on Yahoo. He is surely capable of carrying the baby Oilers to success. Release Curtis McElhinney upon Bryz's arrival.

I didn't think any signings were able to go through until the player was assigned in Yahoo? I've been watching that situation closely as a Dubnyk owner so if this is the case it really sucks as I've been trying to sign him since the announcement was made that he singed in Edmonton.

We had an issue like this before & it was concluded that we have to sign a player in yahoo to make it official. The league website is just a reflection of what goes on in yahoo & posting on the website isn't official unless its done in yahoo first. Since Bryzgalov isn't registered in the yahoo database, he's not available to be signed. I believe Scott's announcement is a bit premature... It's okay Scott, it happens to every guy once in a while. Women won't think any less of you because of it. I think they even make pills to fix that

This is a tricky situation.
Bryzgalov was not added to the Yahoo database when registration first opened. Therefore, he was not able to be added to the Maple Leafs roster. However, Scott did not take a compensation pick (Bryzgalov didn't sign or retire), or ever officially release him.
From here, the problem then becomes the empty roster spot that Scott has been utilizing in Bryzgalov's absence, essentially giving him 20 roster sports (19+Bryzgalov) instead of the standard 19. I was under the assumption Bryzgalov was informally "released" whenever the first free agent was added to the Maple Leaf roster to fill the vacant spot left by Bryzgalov.
Further complicating things is the fact that all of the above took place under the old rulebook. If this situation is to be governed under the new rulebook, Bryzgalov would not have been eligible to be rostered without an NHL contract, upon which he would test waivers like any other player.

Woah, ^^^ what a blunder. To be honest, I thought Bryz would be a welcomed back addition seeing as he was one of my keepers (obviously) prior to offseason after last fantasy year. I guess I should have known that I had 20 roster spots due to Bryz, but I didn't even clue in. I would have ran with 19 or even 18 players if it meant keeping Bryz on my team or in my possession. I was forced to trade Getzlaf this offseason out of spite for my goalie situation after Bryz vanished on me. I assumed that Bryzgalov would eventually come back to NHL and this would be treated like the previous Radulov situation since I did not acquire any compensation. I guess I'm in a pickle eh.

So what is it the verdict here? Nos just simply gets Bryzgalov and Im plain shit out of luck, former #1 goalie gone with nothing in return?

This fits right in with the Tim Thomas situation on my team. I also did not receive any compensation and was forced to deal away big pieces to shore up (at least somewhat) my goalie situation. There seems to be a lot of inconsistencies as to how these situations are handled.

There seems to be a lot of inconsistencies as to how these situations are handled. What inconsistencies? My opinion is and was that Bryzgalov must test waivers and be rewarded to the highest bidder, without compensation to Scott, just like the situation of your own you described above. Seems pretty consistent to me. Any GM may start a poll pertaining to any league issue. This one included. The only problem I see here is your incessant need to complain about everything directly or indirectly related to a similar instance you have experienced because you always think someone is out to get you.

Merely making mention of a similar circumstance. Not sure why you feel the need to pop a boner every time I post anything on the boards. Hop off your high horse there "commissioner."
