It's not just you Nos as much as you think everything revolves around you. Both Ottawa and Calgary said eliminate keeper slot trading and they both would be looking like you to acquire an extra spot to keep their players. I have been in this league for only 2 full seasons. It is even harder to become competitive in this league when you take over someone else's idea of a team. Their needs to be parity or you won't draw any new GM's and this league is going to lose some good GM's. I understand build your own team and deal with the results. But at the same time everyone needs to enjoy this league.

It's not just you Nos as much as you think everything revolves around you. Both Ottawa and Calgary said eliminate keeper slot trading and they both would be looking like you to acquire an extra spot to keep their players. Ottawa and Calgary are scared of me, that's all. I don't even need an extra keeper slot, nor will I be looking for one, in fact I've offered a keeper slot in trades this off-season. It's certainly tougher for a manager taking over a team. I know, I took over a team and have spent several years molding it into my own image. It's now mine. Make your team yours. It takes time, effort, skill, knowledge and a little bit of luck. I just don't understand how putting limits into place will improve things. That's one less avenue for you to explore.

Let's not be in here acting like a bunch of Democrats and start forcing new laws every time something is not going our way. Right. Because slavery was such a good idea. It is called "change." "Forward thinking." Anyway, the point is, things ARE going my way, too much in fact. And in an effort to better the league, I am willing to sacrifice that luxury. ALLOWING KEEPER SLOTS TO BE TRADED BENEFITS ME IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE. What don't you understand about this? GMs just need to use some common sense when they are wheeling and dealing. Anyways, that's my two cents for the day. GM's just need to do a lot of things. GM's just need to be able to predict the future seasons of their young players before dropping them. GM's just need to be able to look ahead and know what players are going to have breakout seasons so they can draft these players in the waiver draft. GM's just need to do this. GM's just need to do that. Making these statements and expecting them are unrealistic, and if it were as simple as "just this or that," we wouldn't even need to be having this discussion right now. But we do. Eliminating the trading of keeper slots provides a natural boundary by which many of the above issues will be resolved (or at least a step toward being resolved). The fact that GM's are still presenting arguments based on things going "your way" tells me that they are not approaching this from a proactive league wide standpoint, but from a selfish "what does this do for me" standpoint. Something I pointed out and tried to prevent in my first post.

Anyway, the point is, things ARE going my way, too much in fact. And in an effort to better the league, I am willing to sacrifice that luxury. ALLOWING KEEPER SLOTS TO BE TRADED BENEFITS ME IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE. What don't you understand about this? Things are going your way? Hmmm, benefits your team in every way? How noble of you to enforce change then. You keep saying that, I know you truly believe it but you don't see your mistake, do you? Equating this to slavery was a nice touch. I see it more like outlawing alcohol, it's not good for everybody, but I enjoy having the free will to use it. You state these things as fact but it's really only your opinion, right? I don't understand it. I don't agree with it. I never will. That's not how I see things so stop trying to force feed me your short sighted opinion. But we do. Protip: Employ knowledgeable General Managers. The fact that GM's are still presenting arguments based on things going "your way" tells me that they are not approaching this from a proactive league wide standpoint, but from a selfish "what does this do for me" standpoint. Something I pointed out and tried to prevent in my first post. Nonsense. This will become a new luxury, having all my picks intact during draft time, I'm looking forward to picking the bones. You forced an agenda, the league caved the third time around and are worse off for it. What don't you understand about this?
