Given the happenings already early in the offseason I feel as though this is a good topic of discussion. While it doesn't affect the majority of the league it will affect those slack asses we have running around (Toronto, Ottawa). Should the league decide late keepers are allowed Toronto's selections will remain and Ottawa will alter its picks to reflect a non Yahoo O-rank list. Should the league decide late keepers are not allowed, Ottawa's picks will remain the same and Toronto's selections will change to reflect the top 10 based on Yahoo's O-rank. Discuss.

Good to see you're not dead! Like I said last year, the rule should really state 'in the event of an absentee manager'. I don't have a problem with late submissions per se, however, in the 12 years we've been active as a league we've only had late submissions this year and last year for a total of 3 late submissions out of 144 total entries. 2 by you! It shouldn't be totally relaxed, you should ideally be prepared and get it in on time but I understand certain circumstances can arise...Cup Hangovers and whatnot. I didn't even have my ages/games played updated in time (33 minutes overtime), which I felt was me being horribly unprepared. If you'd ask for my personal preference I'd say you should absolutely pick the players you want. It's about the best competition possible and it would be pretty lame if the Champion, or any manager for that matter, didn't intelligently and deliberately choose their keepers.

I’m of the opinion that as long as our keepers are submitted prior to our first drafting of the off season were good

What a win for that franchise and Captain Ovie, a great hoisting of the Cup too, historic, memorable and emotional...and I hate the Caps. You must have partied hard.

Yes, let Toronto and Ottawa pick their 10 players. Glad you're not in a coma Derrick.

Ottawa and Toronto should definitely select their own keepers, however it's a deadline for a reason but can be pardoned under extenuating circumstances. Welcome back Commish!

Fuck that I’m still drunk haha. Been one hellova ride of the past month feels great being a lifelong fan of a team and finally watching them get over the hump. Almost threw down on game 5 tix but couldn’t find plane tix last minute or I’d have been there. Still was cool being able to watch it with my dad and my son who are also caps fans.

Derrick, I'm not sure how I feel about you not choosing your official keepers immediately because now you've had 15+ days, and counting, extra to decide over the rest of us. You should have chosen your keepers as soon as you could have and if the poll came back against selecting them the list would then be reverted, like Scott - Maple Leafs. Congrats motherfucker! That's awesome, what a surreal moment to be watching with your boy and your pops who are fans too, I envy it as something I'll never experience. My father is a die hard Chicago Blackhawks fan and I'm a Vancouver Canucks fan. It's definitely a whole summer celebration, if not a lifetime.

I posted a message prior to leaving (when the vote was 6-0) asking for managers votes to make it official before I submitted my altered keepers. In hindsight, I probably should have posted both lists it just slipped my mind.

Apologies my good man! I actually didn't see your Commissioner Announcements post until yesterday or I wouldn't have said anything. I replied to it.
