The St. Louis Blues organization are proud to have a team filled with young talent as well as seasoned veterans. We would like to make an official announcement regarding team captains. The St. Louis Blues at this time have chosen to have 4 alternates heading into the season. For home games, Shea Weber and John Tavares will wear the 'A' and for away games, Patrick Marleau and Erik Karlsson will don the 'A'. We feel as the season begins, we would like to assess the progress as well as leave room for any roster transactions that may occur at the start of the 2014/15 season. Thank you kindly.

Hello media and fans of the Blues organization. It has been awhile since our last post.
I would like to say that as a first year GM in the league, I am proud that we, as an organization, are currently sitting fourth in the standings well on our way to a terrific finish. We are going to give it our all to push for the top spot and win this league!
With the trade deadline looming, we have made a few moves over the season. Earlier this year we dealt one of our alternate captains in Shea Weber, it proved to be a worth while move due to the talent coming back our way but we do miss Shea since he is one of the best. Over the last few days we also dealt alternate captain, Patrick Marleau. He made great contributions in our locker room and off the ice, however we feel the package of Pulkkinen and Ritchie, plus the pick upgrade was worth making this deal. We wish Patrick all the best in San Jose.
With that said, we are continuing to seek out deals to better our team for today and tomorrow.
I would like to close this session by naming a new Captain for the St. Louis Blues organization. First, we would like to promote Erik Karlsson and John Tavares to full time alternate captains. They were home and away but there hockey smarts and leadership has meant so much to this team. As for the 1st captain in St. Louis Blues history (in this league), we are proud to announce that Max Pacioretty will don the C! His poise and leadership is contagious and always give a 110% effort each night producing at a career best clip.
Thank you to our staff and team, here is to a great home-stretch run!

In light of the notable scandal that has plagued the North American Fantasy Hockey League regarding Marko Dano, the St. Louis Blues announce that assistant GM Doug McLean (yep that one) and anyone ever associated with the real Toronto Maple Leafs that have been employed by our organization have been terminated effective immediately. Through various research and conversation the month of March (apparently when Dano's GP was noticed) head GM Richard Lorenzin was on vacation and allowed the now former staff and assistant GM to take the reigns which obviously led to disaster.
GM Lorenzin comments, "we are embarrassed that this scandal has taken place and are going to make sure that the continuation of this off-season and future upcoming season will be handled delicately and with precision to be a competitive team in this great league."
Captain Max Pacioretty comments, "we were in shock that such an error in judgement happened. This great organization has always been proud and handled every situation with class. We were disappointed but we are putting this behind us and going to do our best to win back the trust of this league."
Newly acquired sniper Vladimir Tarasenko adds, "я рад быть частью команды!" which translates "i am happy to be a part of the team!"
The Blues organization has already made a team need trade as it has been able to recoup some young talent for Peoria which we dealt while acquiring star winger Vladimir Tarasenko. Mr.'s Grigorenko, Zykov, Honka and Klimchuk are immediately reporting to the farm and should reignite a healthy, strong prospect pool in our organization. We also acquired an additional 1st rd entry pick for the upcoming season to go along with another acquired in a previous trade with the Flames organization, also young up and comer Mikael Granlund will join us on the main roster. With that we would like to thank James, Alex and Devante for being a part of our team and wish them the best (except in head to head match ups) on their new team in Washington.
We look forward to a great season and are open to make more trades.
