We are releasing this press release to let you know we may release future press releases. Don't listen to Robyn, Colin! He's just one of those semi-successful managers who, nevertheless, is inactive. I'm looking forward to future Avalanche Media Communications!

2022 trade deadline press conferenceFirst off I'd thank to thank Nazem Kadri for his time on the Avalanche. Having such a great year he deserves a chance at a NAFHL championship with the Ottawa Senators. Hopefully this time he won't get suspended. Fingers crossed To the exciting part, I'm proud to announce the Avalanche's newest goaltender, John Gibson! 🎊🎉 John is a reliable, All-Star goaltender, and someone we have lacked in recent years. We're very excited to add a player of his magnitude and hair flow. We did hit a snag as Ottawa initially didn't disclose his NTC but after locating his list and finding the Avalanche on there, we expressed what his role would be on the team, and ultimately he was willing to waive his NTC to join an up and coming team. I'll be fielding questions at this time. Hi Colin, Karen Spooflowskison, Kadri was your best performing forward and Gibson is having a down year(s)... What are you doing?
"Thank you Karen for being a ray of sunshine. Well sometimes it's just time to move on from a player, give him a chance to win somewhere else as a reward for service time. Considering the weakness in reliable goaltending in general, when Gibson's name came up I had to listen. Starters don't just grow on trees in this league, maybe just in Russia. Also getting an extra 23 1st entry pick should prove to be a valuable asset." This is for John, how did you find out you may be traded and what went into ultimately saying yes?"Well I was eating Beaver Tails on the Rideau Canal, making fun of the public that can't skate very well when I got the call. Initially, I was shocked. I was on a playoff team looking to win some rounds. So being approached that I might be traded to a bottom 3 team wasn't very appealing, I signed a NTC for a reason. I definitely yelled at some children on the way off the river. But Colin got in touch with me soon after and explained what he envisions my leadership role to be, what he was trying to build with all the young talent he has waiting to compete for a championship, and he was very convincing. I mean, having the best defenseman in Cale Makar and future Norris winner Moritz Seider in front of my crease was too appealing to pass up. I had an over 3.00 GAA for a reason you know?? Plus the Colorado lifestyle just fits me better than that frigid Ottawa place." Well, that's all the time we have, short and sweet. No Karen no more questions. Thanks for attending the Colorado Avalanche post trade deadline press conference! We will see you all at the end of the year!

Welcome to the Avalanche 2021-22 season end press conference!THE COLORADO AVALANCHE ARE YOUR 2021-22 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!What a great NAFHL playoffs and unbelievable Stanley Cup Playoffs we had this year. I am proud to have the namesake of this NAFHL team win the best trophy in the world. The Avalanche embody everything that I strive and will be in the NAFHL, a champion. Move over Tampa! Avalanches are officially more deadly than Lightning . Congratulations to current Avalanche Cale Makar and Gabriel Landeskog as well as alumni and possible Leaf hater? Nazem Kadri on their first Stanley Cup! Awards? We have plenty of them and its the year of the defenseman! It seems like NAFHL Avalanche players have been cleaning up at the NHL Awards show. Your 2021-22 Calder Trophy winner is... the German freight train Moritz Seider!!!The only thing more lush than his epic locks was his 50pt rookie campaign as a defenseman joining Cale Makar as a fellow Calder Trophy champion. His thunderous hits, veteran like poise and slick offensive vision were on display all year. Fowards beware entering the Avalanche zone
And now, for the main event. After posting over a point a game and display defensive prowess all season long, he leapt into the playoffs elevating his game to heights well above the mile high city. Leading the league in playoff points and TOI, your Norris Trophy, Conn Smythe Trophy and STANLEY CUP WINNER IS:CALE MAKAR!!!Cale Joins Bobby Orr and Nicklas Lindstrom as the 3rd player in NHL history to win the Norris, Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup in the same year. I am proud to have such a dynamic player be part of the Avalanche organization for years to come. Luckily we were able to catch up with Cale for a short interview between celebrations at the parade.
Congratulations Cale on all you've accomplished this year, can you put into words what all this means to you? Thanks, Colin, I really love your media page btw, just wanted to say that. It means the world! These guys are warriors, I wouldn't be there without them... well I probably would actually, I'm just a winner. Winning the Stanley cup, Norris and Conn Smythe in the same year is humbling be recognized but internally, given the expectations I have for myself, inevitable. To be talked about in the same sentence as Bobby Orr and Niklas Lindstrom is the best part of it. Just one step closer to being the best defenseman of all time!
Wow Cale, those are some strong thoughts... What do you say to the haters that think Roman Josi got snubbed for the Norris? Roman who??... OOOH yeah the guy we swept in the first round?! Sorry I forgot that was so long ago. Ummm, I guess I'll take a page out of my teammate's book, Naz... You can kiss my ass!
HAHA, ok it seems someone might be lost in the sauce at the parade! I'll let you get back to the celebrations Cale! Thanks Colin, don't interrupt the parade again or I'll request a trade. (shouts to crowd): WOOOO WE'RE THE F*@KIN CHAMPS BABY! *proceeds to shotgun beer*

Avalanche Press Release As GM of the Colorado Avalanche I have to evaluate the state of my team and where it’s headed. The team simply couldn’t put wins together resulting in another missed playoffs so heading into days 1 it's time for a change. Coach Richard Vonhammerschmidtbergson is relieved of his coaching duties. Replacing him, effective immediately, will be one of the greatest gym franchisees in the North America, known to grab the bull by the horns and 1 time runner up in the 2004 Las Vegas Dodgeball open, White Goodman! The second order of business is announcing the Colorado Avalanche’s leadership group for the 23/24 season and beyond. I’m excited to announce a group of young captains with an extremely bright future together so without further adieu… The new captain of the Colorado Avalanche sporting an impressive resume as the 2020 Calder winner, 2022 Norris, Conn Smyth winner on his way to a Stanley Cup, and making his debut on the EA Sports NHL 24 cover, ALL HAIL Cale Makar! Following Cale, he’s got the moves that will make any woman’s Berlin wall fall down, your 1st assistant captain, the tenacious, German scoring sensation Tim Stutzle! And joining Tim as an assistant captain, he’s won over the New Jersey faithful with his slick hands and glorious flow, the unstoppable and dynamic Jack Hughes! Go Avs Go!

Big congratulations to Ivan Miroshnichenko making his NHL debut tonight! From overcoming cancer to playing for his home club in Russia just over a year later and now starting with his favourite player, Alex Ovechkin, that smile says it all. 🙌 I know it might seem like his toughest tests are behind him, but I assure you helping Ovechkin get a goal will be the most arduous task of his career. Good luck!
