You just guaranteed yourself another early second round exit. Robyn - Flames is 30-30 in categories won versus categories lost on the season against the top 3 teams in the league. And owns the tiebreaker against 2 of the 3. They are going to film a special on this run. Let’s gooooo. Also. These past 2 weeks have felt like another All-Star/Olympic break for me. When is the last time two teams have faced off in the final week of the season and then immediately faced off again in the first round of the playoffs? Somebody get the stat guy on the phone. |

2012 season week 22 Colorado beat Boston 9-2 in the final regular season week, then matched up again in week 1 of the playoffs where Boston walked away with a 6-5 win.
2009 season week 22 Calgary beat Boston 6-5 in the final regular season week, then matched up again in week 1 of the playoffs where they again beat them 6-4
2007 season week 23 Ottawa beat Boston 9-2 in the final regular season week, then matched up again in week 1 of the playoffs where Boston moved on with a 8-3 win.
2006 season week 23 Pittsburgh beat Columbus 7-2 in the final regular season week, then matched up again in week 1 of the playoffs where they again came away with a 7-2 win.

A shaky couple starts by Vasi salvaged by a clutch shutout by the soon to be Vezina winner Shesterkin sealed the victory.
I'll take my consolation knowing I lost to the future NAFHL cup winner. Go flames!!!

Throughout my life the people that dissed wrestling didn't watch it and never did, or didn't watch enough of it, thus didn't get it or connect with it. When people don't get something that other people do they feel dumb so they lash out at others projecting their own insecurities. What's not to like anyway?
