It has been a long time coming, but I am proud to present you with the new and improved NAFHL website that can be found here. Any input, suggestions, or comments are welcome. The site is and always will be considered "under renovation" whereas I am always looking for ways to tweak, improve, and build upon what we currently have. Try to get a feel for the new layout, and let me know of any errors one finds. After a little fine tuning, the site will officially go "live." Since you all are affiliated with the league, who better than you guys to get the all-access pass to poke around, I say.

One thing I did find, for now, is the conditional picks some teams own aren't under their draft picks page. Unless this was done with a purpose. Also the "League" button doesn't go anywhere. I'll poke around some more later and let you know of anything else I find.

Wow, I'm definitely impressed... Congrats on all your hard work paying off... As NOS said, just get that "League" link to head to the yahoo league page and that would be great. You should try to come up with a ranking for who improved the most to least with their moves/drafts over the offseason, i think that would be interesting to see. Just a suggestion, but like I said...Great job

we could also do somthing with biggest steals and best panouts from trades and what not....... I say this only because I know how much Derrick hates that Penner/Giggy vs Theodor/Bouw trade But I do like the idea!!

I am aware the "league" link isnt active yet, i had a couple of ideas that i was toying with but needed the season to begin before i could see if it would pan out. In regards to the yahoo league page, if you click the ovechkin-crosby banner, it will take you directly to the league.
The "career statistics" are in the work as well. Yahoo HAD all the information that i needed up, but since have taken it all down. I have sent them an email and we are working on something to retrieve the lost information. The "Awards" page also for each team will take some time to sort out since we are only in our second season and only a couple of awards have actually been decided.
As far as the articles and ideas go, they are all good. I just wanted to note that you guys can do ANY article you want and submit it to me (as long as it serious) to be posted on the front page. Articles arent just designated to me, they are to make the leagues voice heard.
My "absence" as of late was not because i was abandoning you guys, it was, as you can see, largly in part due to getting this new site off the ground. Anyway, im glad you guys like it. ill try to come up with a regular updating system once i see how things go.

Calgary lost both of it's match ups and has gone up a spot each week.
The power rankings indicate a teams potential to win the championship NOT how well they are doing one week at a time. Just because a string of fluky accidents occur, or players that get hot that aren't likely to continue pace carry a team, or a team is underperforming due to an injury, does not mean im sliding a team up or down the power rankings. I take into consideration every aspect of the teams potential and each weekly match up. I don't just look at who won or lost the week.
...and by the way, cough cough, I didn't lose Week 1. Yahoo credited Pitkanen with a phantom short-handed goal (against the Flyers) that he never scored. As a result, the scoring was skewed. I'm still waiting on that stat correction...

Regardless of the method to your madness, you have to at least expect it to appear bias when you are where you are in the standings and remain at 1 in the power rankings. Either way though, it's a nice addition and if someone disagrees with the rankings, oh well, not like it effects anything. ...and you did lose week 1 until it says otherwise.

Id have to agree....i mean brads team is stacked with talent which i view to be top 3-5 in the league but yet hes consistently dropping cause of weak weeks. I just dont see how you can say its to championship chance and yet in your reasons for teams dropping you say hey its because of ....."goalies didnt play well" "didnt score alot of points THIS week"
