Im not a firm believer in "past performance" playing a part in this upcoming seasons power rankings. How the team looks currently is way more important to me because a team can quickly fall from grace.
The rankings were very difficult to do. A lot of teams did well over the off-season and really closed the gap talent wise. the difference between position 4 and 11 might sound tremendous, but in all actuality, from position 4 on, the teams are so close in terms of potential and talent. you could just throw darts at a board to generate a list and itd be servicable.
*EDIT* There will be bi-monthly installments to the power rankings, so these will be ever changing. Will use ^ v = as indicators of the teams performance.

I should be higher than I am, but I'm sure everyone else feels that way. Hate it or love it, the underdog's on top.

I should be higher than I am, but I'm sure everyone else feels that way. Hate it or love it, the underdog's on top. Not a bad opinion. However, I think Pittsburgh is rated a bit too high (no offense, but I don't think they have enough offense... pun intended). IMO, the top 8 should roll like: Ottawa SJ Columbus Pittsburgh Calgary Atlanta Buffalo Boston I think Buffalo's got a tad bit better offense than me, so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt over me.

Ha, the power rankings are too biased, keeps it from being truly professional.
