Indeed a harrowing Semi-Finals! Took me this long to respond because it was so close I didn't believe it was settled until we were well underway with the Finals! The wind could have blown either way and that has to be the closest playoff match-up I've ever won! Right down to the last seconds! Unreal. Daniel - Canucks, bravo, as far as I'm concerned...that waaas the Finals! 😎 Great match-up between Calgary and Ottawa as well! Wow, that truly was a HELL of a decision to bench the goalies, brutal stuff. I think Derrick is correct in saying that was the greatest set of Semi-Finals match-ups in NAFHL history! What Derrick wasn't correct about was starting Pheonix Copley against the #1 ranked offense and #1 ranked PP in the league with the 2 best players in the league on the team! People, people, people, think before you act...good lord! 😉

Absolutely massive day in the world of hockey, game of the night with major implications for both the NAFHL Stanley Cup battle & the Western Conference Wild Card hunt is between the Predators @ Flames.
The San Jose Sharks seemingly have a Ted Nugent Stranglehold heading into the final week of this enthralling finale with the Ottawa Senators desperately needing some heroics.
The Vancouver Canucks 10-season podium streak (including NAFHL Development League) is on the line in their 3rd place clash against the Calgary Flames. Can the Canucks extend their streak to 11 Top 3 finishes in a row?
Who is going to capture the Consolation Bracket Title that comes with the highly coveted 1st Overall Waiver Draft selection? The New Jersey Devils goaltending is absolutely rolling but can their offense hold the line against Jack Hughes and the rest of the Colorado Avalanche?

It was a good battle between Kyle and I. Sadly the team couldn't overcome two shutouts and some strong goal scoring. But I'm proud of the boys, they fought hard, gave 110%, got in the dirty areas, pucks in deep, forecheck, backcheck, paycheck bro.
Great matchup Kyle. It was a fun year!

We have a lot of work to do in our front office and locker room to catch up to this incredible feat. A few poor coaching decisions led to the ultimate downfall of the Canucks this season, it just goes to show that this truly is a game of inches and nothing less than perfection will lead you to victory. So I commend Nos and his Sharks for their accomplishments! To the rest of my leaguemates, thanks for another super fun season, it was a pleasure to compete with you all! To everyone who made the Playoffs, well done! That's an achievement in itself and is always a battle to even contend for the Cup. To the rest, I'm thrilled to see the direction where each of you takes your team to try and make it to the promised land in the future. The Canucks will be back better than ever and thirsty for revenge next season...but until then, enjoy your victory parade Nos - Sharks!!! 👏🏆🦈 P.S. Sup Derrick? 😎 What a win huh? What a season! I appreciate all of the congrats fellas! I am humbled...no I'm not. 😎 Business as usual adding to the Sharks legacy! What can I say? Really? Feels good, I've secured a very fine bottle of Wild Turkey Longbranch Bourbon Whiskey to celebrate with tomorrow night alongside the Season 5 premiere of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs! 🤠 Get watching this guys, seriously, it's the best fucking thing going! Great times ahead! Derrick, I feel you bud-dy, I've been on that losing side and it's brutal but that was a Hell of a season that had it all from beginning to end, it really ran the full gamut of emotions, Hollywood shit! Kudos to you sir! What I love is the compete level this league has, even the Bottom Dwellers Consolation Bracket was great fun to watch unfold, big stakes that 1st Overall pick so much so that even lower placed teams should consider "buying" at the trade deadline to secure the pick! This has gotta be one of the most hype off-seasons in history, the real playoffs have been incredible to start with tons of different opinions on how things will go with a big Keeper Slot to be won! I've even thought perhaps the winner should be awarded an additional 1st Round Waiver Pick (true 1st Overall) instead of a Keeper Slot so that some of the bottom teams will guarantee an elite asset rather than having to choose from what they have. Major league Entry Draft with tons of excellent high profile players and I believe this year's upcoming Waiver Draft will have the most talent in it of all time! A lot more work to be done and a lot more fun to be had! Cheers boys! 🍻 |

Who would be open to having the last place GM in the playoff pool pay for the following year?
It's an even playing field and a one off so there's no disparity between picks.
This way it doesn't fall on the saints that have been paying in years previous.

I can't imagine it's very much, but I think we must have 100% of the GMs on board and we will most likely have to remind the party each year to make sure it's not forgotten. If we're not all on board, I don't mind either chipping in or just rotating, I'll even volunteer for next year. |
