Alright, I'm thinking we should bump it again to allow maximum time for a glorious return of Derrick. How about Entry Draft: Monday, August 12th and Waiver Draft: Monday, August 26th as the final dates? Is that cool with everyone? Like this post if you're cool with it and ready to go! A roll call of sorts!

We're starting the Entry Draft on Monday, August 12th, 2024 regardless but I would love to ensure everybody is aware and ready to go! Automation will occur in drafting for missing managers including Derrick - Senators, for the Entry Draft I'm thinking highest available player selected by NHL teams will be selected for absentee managers unless someone has a better idea? We could do a quick poll vote consensus if most managers are able to cast a vote within the 12 hour window as well. Or eliminate certain obvious "defensive" type prospects that aren't as fantasy relevant. If you guys have any ideas let me know or if you're cool with highest available player. Exciting drafting time gentlemen!

We should do BPA, but definitely eliminate a specific list of 'defensive' players. We should probably set that list in advance of the draft starting, maybe just for the top ~40 or so.

All rosters have been posted! Combed through all players, fixed errors I saw to ensure accuracy but if you see any errors big or small let me know and I'll fix them. I wasn't able to sticky the threads so they're closer to the bottom of your team's section. 2024-2025 NAFHL Roster Notes Anaheim Ducks: Team has no Captain or Alternate Captains. Consider assigning some. Calgary Flames: No notes. Colorado Avalanche: Nice addition of a Captain and Alternate Captains! Detroit Red Wings: Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen was still a Prospect (24/100)* at season’s end and was eligible to be sent to the Farm ahead of making Keeper selections, make a different Keeper selection. Team has no Captain or Alternate Captains. Consider assigning some. New Jersey Devils: Nice addition of a Captain and Alternate Captains! Ottawa Senators: Due to eligibility change Kirill Ustimenko (25/0)** was assigned to Belleville and Riley Heidt (19/0)* was assigned to Atlanta to accommodate. Keepers have been set for the team, I think this is what Derrick would want, he seems like a big Dallas Stars guy too. Derrick can change Keepers if he’d like up until the start of the Waiver Draft on Monday, August 26th, 2024. The Ottawa Senators are currently set to auto draft for the upcoming Summer 2024 Drafts. San Jose Sharks: No notes. Seattle Kraken: Cole Sillinger (21/220)*** Regular Player Status: Removed from Farm team, eligibility lapsed, if you wish to swap a Keeper for him you can do so until the start of the Waiver Draft on Monday, August 26th, 2024. Team has no Captain or Alternate Captains. Consider assigning some. Toronto Maple Leafs: Team has no Captain or Alternate Captains. Consider assigning some. Vancouver Canucks: No notes. Washington Capitals: Team has no Captain or Alternate Captains. Consider assigning some. Winnipeg Jets: Team has no Captain or Alternate Captains. Consider assigning some. List of Defensive Players Anton Silayev (18/0)* Adam Jiricek (17/0)* Stian Solberg (18/0)* EJ Emery (18/0)* Ben Danford (18/0)* Charlie Elick (18/0)* Gabriel Eliasson (17/0)* This was a small list I came up with looking at the Top 40, however, Anton Silayev could be a good pick but just not where he went in the NHL Draft. Tough to say, some of these guys could be solid, if you have more players you had in mind let me know or if you disagree with any of these players. This is strictly a list of prospects to avoid for Derrick - Senators' auto draft.

Oh yeah, one thing I didn't mention, I made one change to the Roster Pages and that was ordering Prospects/Minor Leaguers on the Farm teams based on firstly Games Played, then by Age and then by Last Name alphabetically. I think this gives everybody a better visual look at where your Prospects/Minor Leaguers are in relation to expiring eligibility with Games Played obviously being the most critical.

Didn't want to quote your long post. Nice change though. I think you're right, he likes Hintz. Although when I was looking at them, I had Kyrou and Hintz in a dead heat. Tough choice actually, haha. Agree with the defensive prospects 👍

Yeah, definitely a dead heat when I first looked them over. Well, I was looking at the last 3 seasons, Hintz scores mores goals, similar point totals, way better +/-, similar PIM & PP usage, Hintz has more PK usage and SHP as well as more GWG because he scores more. Hintz has better shooting percentage too and is on a better team currently with more talent around him to work with. Kyrou is a couple years younger (less than 2 years actually) and shoots the puck more, as his improvements on Hintz. *EDIT: I noticed Jeff - Red Wings hasn't signed onto the forum in a little while, yo Tyler - Jets, get on it bud-dy!
