What did you have in mind? Be more specific. "Awards" can mean a number of things.

I would guess he means awards like giving a GM an award for having the team with the "best offense," "best rookies," "best defensemen," "best farm," "most underrated/underdog team," etc. I don't know what awards in particular would be good to have, but I'm sure people can come up with a lot. I suppose Derrick could pick like 3 candidates and we could put up a poll and have all the GMs vote for a candidate (or give a 4th option of write-in). This would make it more like a "real" award ceremony.

I like these Ideas....somthing we can maybe discuss more in the offseason for next year or just after the playoffs to have this years awards ceremony

I agree that awards would be fun. We sort of had this last year but they weren't put up or "finished" properly. I'd also suggest having some awards that are strictly numerical as with the real NHL. Stuff like most points (Art Ross) and most goals (Rocket Richard) along with more "subjective" stuff like the Vezina, Norris, and Calder awards but more geared towards fantasy hockey and not really overall play (to be a little different from the actual awards themselves) and also include other creative awards, Mark's suggestions (Best Farm and Underdog team) or even from last year Best Manager, etc.

I like the idea of making these team awards for fantasy standpoint as in the team that scores the most points gets the Ross the team that has the best core of Dmen get the Norris and Best goalies get Vezina.

Yeah, that's what I meant, team awards. Otherwise it'd be kind of pointless with the real awards coming.
