i know that me and tor were wondering about this but in the farm draft can we draft only prospects or can we draft anybody not taken? i know steve had some dumb rule about all this but can we just scrap that and say that we can draft anybody?

i personally dont see why you would be able to draft anyone, it just doesnt make sense in accordance to the farm team rules. you cant send "regulars" to the farm, and most everyone has a full team already. with that said, allowing people to draft anyone could really get their team in a bind. however, to be fair make a poll and see what everyone thinks.

well.. according to the rules listed on the old site, we have 19 (yes, 19) slots on our farm team, which to me sounds ridiculous to begin with. the farm team can only contain prospects (<150GP, <24 years old) and minor leaguers (<200GP, any age). maybe it's just me, but i recommend we either shorten the length of this draft, or allow it to include regular NHLers as well. i think it will be a major pain in the ass, when every four days, someone on your farm exceeds 200GP and you have to go out and replace him. since we will have the waiver rule in place anyway, why not make it apply to regular players as well? possibly making a rule allowing 2 or 3 minor leaguers to the farm without having to clear waivers. if people are going to argue that the farm system rules have already played into their strategy so far, then i guess we can't make a change allowing regulars.
there's my two cents worth, hopefully that made sense.
