It was a disturbing day today for Atlanta Thrasher hockey. Earlier reports of rampant drug use and psychotic episodes among the club's beat writers have been confirmed.
When asked to comment, a loyal Thrasher fan had only this to say, "I figured somethin was up. I've been following this team since its inception and I just couldn't come up with any other excuse for the blatantly overexaggerated and highly delusional comments in the "Opening Night..." article."
The article referenced was released yesterday. It made unfounded and ridiculous claims about being the favorite to hoist the cup. This reporter can only hope the Atlanta Journal-Constitution management can put a leash on its other writers before these kinds of falsehoods spread.

More Breaking News AP It turns out that the so called "Thrashers fan" who made those remarks was actually a Columbus Blue Jackets fan who was very very upset with the roster of his team. He was so disgusted with how poorly the Jackets drafted and especially with their latest trade and so he decided to attack the team that he feared the most: The Atlanta Thrashers. This theory was also confirmed by the fan's dad, also a Jackets fan. "Unfortunately my son was so upset with the shape of the Jackets and the very high probability for them to finish in last place that he needed to vent his anger somewhere. He feared the Thrashers most and went after them. I am very sorry to all Thrashers fans for the behaviour of my son." However, unfortunately for the Jackets fan his attempt to cause havoc in the Thrashers organization not only did not suceed but also backfired causing numerous questions within the Blue Jackets organization.
