Im assuming since Campoli is a prospect and is on Nos farm team that I just drop Ellis so Nos can pick him up.....ive done that on Yahoo...if this is wrong let me know

That's correct, and there's no need to pick him up since he's going straight to the farm.

Ellis doesn't for sure (I made sure of that), he's already on my farm. I'm not sure about Campoli though since he is a minor leaguer and Chris traded a player from his roster and not from his farm team like I did.

Campoli to roster, Ellis to Farm.
Campoli 1 game removed from Prospect status. Brutal.

so with ellis being a minor leaguer not a prospect why does he automatically go to farm and not team?

As the rule is written now, if a roster spot isnt available on the big club, by default the acquired player (if eligible) reports directly to the farm so long as one or both the players involved in the trade were already on the farm prior to being traded, regardless of who they are being traded for.
