Carolina Hurricanes send Mark Dekanich and Andrei Loktionov to the Farm team. Just to clarify for my team, we're allowed to send minor leaguers to the farm in the offseason without having to pass through a waiver claim-type situation? |

K) There is no waiver system in the off season. During the off-season, assigning players to the farm doesn't have to go through the waiver wire. |

Carolina Hurricanes sign Andrej Meszaros and Jose Theodore. Look at this guy trying to sign my player. I redrafted Theodore. Anyway, only Prospects and Minor Leaguers can be signed to your team until Final Rosters are submitted (waivers kick in) and Yahoo opens for the year.  |

By the way can minor leaguers still be sent down without passing waivers until the season start? Also Im not sure how you can redraft Theodore then if only minor leaguers and prospects can be signed to the final roster and there's no waivers in place. |

Yes, Minor Leaguers can be sent down to the farm for free until the season starts.
As for Theo, it's simple. I drafted him in the 3rd Round, released him (before the end of the Waiver Draft), made my picks, sent said picks (Minor Leaguers) to my farm team, and then redrafted Theodore in the 9th Round.
