P.K. Subban is subject to waivers and counts as a Minor Leaguer (160 games played). Waivers have taken effect long ago. Please change his status so he can be claimed or I'll pick him up anyway.

Waivers are not in effect until the season officially begins with the first puck drop on Saturday.

Is that what you've decided for this season? Okay, in previous years Waivers were in effect once priority was set. Waivers have even been used this 'off-season' at least once since the priority was set.

Yeah. Waivers went into effect at one point because we were still operating under the assumption we would be playing a full season. In a shortened season, we didn't really have time to have an official roster submission like we normally do, so the only logical solution is for waivers to go into effect when the season officially begins.

Another logical option (maybe more logical) would be to have Waivers in effect dating back to when priority was set, like what most managers, I'm sure, assumed. Especially since the system was used at least once before, affecting the order. There's no reason to abandon Waivers other than to sneak some Minor Leaguers onto your farm. I find this to be an egregious abuse of your power as Commissioner of the NAFHL and trust you'll make it right.

I was thinking waivers went in to effect for us as soon as waivers opened in NHL. Almost everyone would put a claim on P.K Subban. All roster players dropped from yahoo are expected to be claimed through waiver priority. This is no different you should have to be subject to losing him like anyone else would.

After waiver priority is set, I think it would be assumed that waivers are in effect unless otherwise stated by the almighty commissioner... Just my two cents...

It doesn't matter one way or the other because of the ridiculous "oops I didn't know" rule in regards to the sending down of minor leaguers you guys voted into the rulebook before last season. N) Any "minor leaguer" transaction may be nullified and subsequently reversed prior to and after an opposing manager has made a waiver claim if the original owner of the minor leaguer (prior to the waiver claim) unknowingly or accidentally sends the minor leaguer in question to the farm. Each "minor leaguer" will be returned to its owner's main roster and not to its respective farm team.Precedence has been set in the NAFHL Developmental League (in regards to Linus Omark), whereas I have (apparently unknowingly) been treating minor league acquisitions and signings as if waivers were not yet in effect. So if you guys feel that waivers should already be in effect (which would technically be impossible without a CBA) then I will "reverse" the transaction. But nobody will be "stealing" any players either way. It's too late to take a vote on this now, which is why it was issued by executive order.

nafhl2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=awards&action=display&thread=525It is a terrible rule. And as you can see, I was against it from the start. A little back story. First of all, it was during a period when not all GM's were required to vote in a poll for the proposed rule to be changed. Secondly, the issue stemmed from Robyn - Flames attempting to send Steve Mason to the farm as a minor leaguer "unknowingly." To which the league decided it was unfair that he lose a player in this fashion. Details are in the thread above. There is more discussion on the subject in another thread but I am having difficulty locating it at this current time.

I voted for Calgary to keep mason not for the rule change at least not how it reads. I thought if I remember correctly that it was because of the goalie starts vs dressed being questioned.
