I voted for Calgary to keep mason not for the rule change at least not how it reads. I thought if I remember correctly that it was because of the goalie starts vs dressed being questioned. The problem is that we can not make individual rules for individual cases. Everyone has to be held to the same standard, and if we allow one exception, it becomes precedence. And much to my detest, that is what has happened. Regardless of what the specific issue was, the crux of the situation was sending Minor Leaguers to the farm. Robyn - Flames sent Mason down to the farm at 101 games played. Under either wording of the rule, this would not have been allowed. The wording of the rule was a subsequent point that was fixed as a result, not the primary issue. |

So what is the consensus? Waivers in effect at the drop of the first puck or have waivers been in continuous effect since Summer? This is time sensitive and obviously has major ramifications on opening night rosters. If a consensus is not reached tonight, I will "executive order" the former, because to me, that is the most logical course of action in a shortened season.

Waivers in continuous effect since priority was set, I say this because they've been used, I have no problem with you retaining Subban via that rule stated, however if you want to still send him to the farm he has to clear waivers. That's my position.
