How does this sentence make any sense? Please elaborate. I literally "cherry picked" the largest sample size possible, the entire season. What I provided was 100% factual statistics. Not the opinions of Arun Srinivasa where his arguments aren't Fantasy based. No, I'm not talking about comparing previous seasons, like I've stated in the chat box. As per your argument with Valimaki, I'm comparing the two "since his usage has increased" to QB1. Yahoo Rank for the season does not take into account when a player scores his points. It is simply aggregate data in its simplest form. It matters WHEN those points are accrued in a head to head league. A player ranked 1 in the league who has 96 points over the course of two weeks is FAR less valuable than a player ranked 22 who has 80 points consistently over 21 weeks. A player who has 96 points in two weeks wins you two weeks. A player who has 80 points over 21 weeks wins you 21 weeks, or at the very least makes a more significant contribution over the course of 21 weeks and puts you in a much better position to win those weeks. That is my argument. I say "cherry-picked" because you conveniently waited until after Heiskanen went on a 2 week hot streak to compare him to Hughes. If you were to have tried to make the same argument before the hot streak using Yahoo rank it would have been a joke because Heiskanen would have been 100-150 spots lower due to his inconsistency. Your argument doesn't support Hughes being better than Heiskanen, but it was a good try and I appreciate the effort. Even if you were to conveniently remove when Heiskanen went on a 2 week hot streak to compare him to Hughes, they would be tied 8-8-3. Hardly the "joke" you claim it to be. It took Heiskanen having that cold streak to give Hughes an iota of a chance of catching up...and that was a tie at best. I've literally compared every single fantasy relevant stat known to man in regards to these two players this season and in no world is Hughes superior to Heiskanen. I eagerly await your reply but I won't be surprised if I don't receive one.

Weeks 11-19 highlight the point I am trying to make. Nine straight weeks where Heiskanen was the outright winner only once. That is over 1/3 of the season. Inconsistency like that can put you out of the playoffs rendering anything that comes before or after irrelevant. Each Monday begins a new week. A player getting 50 points in 3 weeks after not helping out/losing 8 or 9 weeks literally means zero in the standings for those previous weeks. You are already in the dump and at best can only hope that player will aid in pulling you out in the coming weeks. As I said before, timing matters. The above data is just a fleshed out version of the aggregate Yahoo rank. Yes, Heiskanen is ranked higher because he has accumulated more stats but at less timely intervals. That still doesn't mean he isn't inconsistent. That will be my only reply. I do not wish to continue repeating stats or argue the value of players, but I would like to acknowledge the amount of time and effort it took to compile the above data. The way I see it is, I have my opinion and you have yours. I am happy with my player, and you are seemingly happy with yours. What is all of this even about anymore?

Weeks 1-10 highlight ten straight weeks where Hughes was the outright winner only twice. Still not a valid argument. Weeks 20-22 Heiskanen won twice and Hughes zero. You're not eliminated from the Playoffs until the conclusion of Week 22, and it's going to take more than one individual player to do so. Week 3 Hughes was injured and I gave him the benefit of the doubt with a tie rather than giving him N/A for all his stats, I'd still rather take Heiskanen's -1 & 4 SOG compared to Hughes' zeros across the board. The other 3 tied Weeks are more up for interpretation depending on what stats you particularly need on that given week, but I'd personally prefer to have Heiskanen's stats during all four tied Weeks.
All I said in the shoutbox was... "I'm a huge Dallas Stars fan! Imagine having no interest in Heiskanen once upon a time, the things you look back on and are super grateful they didn't materialize. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤠" ...I didn't bring up Quinn Hughes, you did. I look back on trade proposals I have offered in the past and all I said was I'm grateful certain ones didn't materialize. I like Quinn Hughes. I've watched every single game he's ever played in the NHL. Does he piss me off at times? Of course, but there's no denying he's a fantastic player! Like I said previously, I truly hope he explodes into a monster of a player. But when someone discredits my player by saying the likes of... "10/10 GMs would rather have Quinn Hughes over Heiskanen, myself included. More dynamic. More consistent. Can't trust a guy who has 25% of his yearly total in points over the past 2 weeks. Prior to these 2 weeks, Heiskanen had 3 points in 5 weeks. No thanks" ...I'm going to go at bat for my player and defend his honor.
I'm passionate about discussing hockey, it's fun for me. Colin - Avalanche and I on the side have discussed numerous players in the past even if it had nothing to do with trade talks. It's good times.

If I “don’t know hockey whatsoever” please explain to me rationally how I have a higher career lifetime Yahoo rating than than you and how I have won multiple championships in this league (and prior) over the past 20 years. Luck? You’ve said some pretty dumb things over the years, but this one might take the cake. Do you have selective memory or something? I think so. You're deluded, straight up. You have a higher career rating because you've played in more leagues, 8 more leagues total and 2 extra years of fantasy hockey. I never say anything dumb and if you think what I'm saying is dumb it's because you're dumb, period. Also. This is not how it works. Being in more leagues has no correlation with a higher rating. You do realize you have to WIN weeks to increase your rating? I have equally as good of chance of decreasing my overall rating by participating in more leagues if I lose weeks. So yes, what you are saying is dumb.

You claim I don't know anything about hockey and my success is largely based in luck. Someone who doesn't know anything about hockey shouldn't do well in a fantasy hockey league and should have their rating drop the more leagues they are in. So which is it? Do I not know anything about hockey or am I talented and expected to win the leagues I join? Can't be both.

You're one of those guys who loves having his balls smooshed by stilettos aren't you? 🫣 Success isn't luck based. Here, this is what I said...again... You've had success (with the help of cheating, meddling, changing rules/not changing rules to the detriment of the league, situational advantage, zero relevant hardships, manipulation of skater starts, etc.) but do you impress me in any meaningful way? Not even a little bit. Furthermore, we can't know the quality of the leagues you or I have joined outside of this one anyway. You could be joining easy trash leagues, who knows? All we really know for certain, despite your BS, is that I have more Championships than you in this league, more 2nd place finishes (5 to 1...baybaaah one in fiiive!) and more Finals appearances (11 to 6). I also have the same exact amount of all time trophies you have despite playing in 8 fewer leagues and 2 fewer years. Finally, when I say you don't know hockey, what I mean is in relation to top guys...like me. 😎

You've had success (with the help of cheating, meddling, changing rules/not changing rules to the detriment of the league, situational advantage, zero relevant hardships, manipulation of skater starts, etc.) but do you impress me in any meaningful way? Your rating goes up when you win a week against an opponent of equal or greater "skill." Depending on how much more skilled your opponent is dictates how much your rating will go up. Your rating goes down when you lose to a manager that is less skilled than you. How much less skilled than you (based on rating) will determine how far your rating goes down. If I were in "trash leagues" my rating would not increase at all, and in fact would drop more significantly each week I lost. Regardless of number of leagues, championships, blah blah blah, I have consistently won against better teams more frequently than you. Your lifetime win% = .710 My lifetime win% = .714 Your lifetime rating = 996 My lifetime rating = 1026 That's class. You're dismissed.

Hey, you're boring me now, alright? Like already stated, you have selective memory and see what you want to see, which means you won't improve. When I beat Chris - Capitals this season my rating went up. You've had more opportunity to improve your rating through more leagues and years, that's that. Rating is largely irrelevant anyway. Why are you clinging to that? Oh yeah, it's all you've got. Lifetime winning % is determined by all leagues and competition including trash leagues and players, you have a mere .004% more than me and if I had played for 2 more years in 8 more leagues I'd destroy you in that regard as well. Pay attention this time because this is what actually matters... 01. I have more Championships than you. 02. I have more 2nd place finishes than you. (5-1) 03. I have more Finals appearances than you. (11-6) Does that look like you're better? Smarten up. I mean...I have you literally dominated. You can't even catch up. Besides, I'm not even giving you credit for your wins because... You've had success (with the help of cheating, meddling, changing rules/not changing rules to the detriment of the league, situational advantage, zero relevant hardships, manipulation of skater starts, etc.) but do you impress me in any meaningful way? Not even a little bit. You're not competition. You're an obstacle. Cheeeeeeeeeeeeers! 🍻

🍻 Why's my name keep being brought up in places?

😃 Just illustrating that even when I defeat the last place team my rank goes up and winning percentage increases. Also, you're just way cool!
