When is the announcement about the new Leafs GM coming?

It's been a while since the GM spot was vacant.

Announcing the new Leafs GM today is exactly the same as announcing the GM on June 1st (from his perspective) when keepers are due. Reason being, rosters are virtually locked and league activity is at a stand still. I would even argue that announcing the new Leafs GM closer to June 1st is healthier for both the GM and the league whereas there is more league activity, thus limiting the potential of getting off on the wrong foot or the new GM being bored.

With that said, communication with the new Leafs GM isn't as rapid or as fluid as I had hoped. This is, and will delay any "announcement." I take comfort in knowing that every NAFHL GM and GM replacement is quality so that we aren't having this same conversation in 6 months or a year from now.

So, I guess to answer your question, the new Leafs GM will be announced when I receive word back from him and feel comfortable in his ability as a GM and understanding of the NAFHL rules.
