In order to collect thoughts, provide updates, and ensure collectivity of all that is off-season related, I have started this thread.
As of several days ago, all players on all rosters have been re-aged and re-gamed (as of June 1, 2010) to meet the upcoming seasons requirements. Furthermore, the 2010 list of Unavailable Players has been updated and created.
Keep in mind Farm Team Expansion.
Announcement re-addressing possible Team Relocations to come soon.

Too little time left and not enough activity to get something in place before the draft. Should just forget about it for this year unfortunately. I also don't really see the point in cutting the roster down to 15, cut 4 spots? Seems unnecessary.

I haven't seen anything that would make me change my mind in not changing what we have already in place. I like the system how it is now.

While considering all things "off-season," I thought of an interesting idea that we might want to introduce this coming season that would place an added emphasis of the value of the yahoo waiver priority (like i have been trying to do). The idea would be that (against the rules of yahoo) one would be able to spend ones own (presumably #1 waiver) on a minor league player that one would be sending to one's own farm. So basically you keep the #1 waiver and claim a player an opposing manager is attempting to send down, or spend it on a player who you yourself do not want to lose on waivers. Think it over and leave feedback. Thanks.

That sounds like a reasonable inclusion and should be implemented immediately.

A couple of league announcements.
NAFHL brass, as well as Atlanta Thrashers front office are set to meet with prospective GM Tyler Gore tomorrow (Friday, 17th), and should announce his hiring thereafter (assuming both sides remain on the same page).
Furthermore, Armando, of short lived Islander fame, is no longer employed by the NAFHL, citing "creative differences." The Islanders franchise will be owned and operated under NAFHL management until a suitable replacement can be found. Please resume all trade talks with the Islanders and/or inquiries to your league Commissioner.
These decisions have been made in order to allow for the season to begin on Yahoo. This provides managers with time to sign free agents, look over their rosters, and comfortably start the season without feeling rushed or being unprepared.

Can we start the Draft on Sunday the 31st instead and just not have the draft clock start until the 1st? adds a little excitement to a Sunday lol

Can we start the Draft on Sunday the 31st instead and just not have the draft clock start until the 1st? adds a little excitement to a Sunday lol While it might sound like a good idea on paper (because Sundays do suck) I am going to have to go with "no." It is too near the time of the draft to be altering it any. Plus, it would throw off the balance of the universe. All major deadlines/drafts are on the 1st.

The chat room is extremely fucking annoying, making it impossible to type whenever its on the screen. Why? I don't have Java installed so it doesn't appear to me. It seemed to be popular with the league so I went ahead an enabled it.

The thing at the bottom, chat sign in thing, is really annoying because I can't use the touch scroll on my laptop because the cursor automatically points towards the sign in box. I hate it, can you take that out?
