One quick note. The NAFHL trade deadline is and always has been one week after the NHL trade deadline. This is so GM's have a chance to assess their own players as well as others should real life deals have an impact on them. As a result, I have moved the NAFHL trade deadline from March 2 to March 9 (2:59:59 AM EST). Sorry for the confusion.

It's awesome how this league is slowly dwindling away. It's trade deadline tmrw and you don't even get an acknowledgment to a message let alone a response or negotiation.

Some bad managers that need to be replaced by people who actually give a fuck, we have a solid foundation (about 6 or 7 really good guys, with one more talent added recently) but managers need to be elite rather than weak. Honestly, I don't see a trade to make though, for my team. Managers always overvalue their talent and/or let the prime time to trade the player slip away. This is poor management. By all means, if you see something that you think could be mutually beneficial I'm always happy to look it over.

I agree and my statement is really just a generality. I don't mind my squad right now either but when you have a few feelers out there and 24hrs to deadline even a simple not interested at least let's you look in another direction.
Open to talks if anyone sees a mutually benificial deal to be had.

I will take responsibility for the league "slowly dwindling away." I haven't held GM's accountable for their actions as I should nor have I provided anywhere near the amount of supplemental material I have in the past, both of which have been part of the foundation of this league. There will be a major overhaul after this season that will hopefully renew vigor and make this league great again. |

An announcement was delayed until a suitable replacement was found. We have until midnight 3am EST correct?? Correct. Tonight at Midnight PST, 1:00 AM MST, 3:00 AM EST is the deadline. |

Your going to start your tenure in this league with attitude when you fall into a 3rd place team?? I didn't call you a joke personally just the situation. There are GMs in this league for 5-10 years who have worked and built their rosters from nothing to be playoff contenders every year. Have more respect.
Guarenteed I am not the only GM completely caught off guard by a mid season change to a roster of this caliber.
Welcome to the NAFHL. I actually do want the best for all GMs to create the maximum level of parity in this extensive league. I look forward to working with you Daniel; you have a strong roster and it's intriguing to see what a newcomer will bring to an already solid field of GMs.

Definition of a Joke I would argue that Toronto won the trade you are referencing. It's not even really close to me. But that is matter of opinion. Also, nobody can predict when a GM will need to be replaced. Especially if the circumstances surrounding the departure are personal in nature. Instead of criticizing the situation you should celebrate how far you have brought the lowly Thrashers franchise and be proud you are (currently) in the playoffs. |

Fair enough. I understand your point sorry for starting Daniels tenure with some hostilities lol I am sure he is a qualified GM. It will be fun to watch the Vancouver Canuck take shape in his vision of an NAFHL team.

I would argue that Toronto won the trade you are referencing. It's not even really close to me. But that is matter of opinion. Agreed, I thought that was obvious? I would even argue that it was the worst trade in NAFHL history and could have been grounds for dismissal itself.  Richard was only a GM for 2 and a half seasons, he 'fell into' a great team built by Mark - Bruins. It's all about being grateful for having a team in the NAFHL at all, working with what you have, improving a little more each year and looking for ways to speed up the process. |

AMAZING first round of the NAFHL Playoffs. Every match-up went to the final game on the final day of the week, with many categories separated by only one or two points across the board. Congratulations to the Washington Capitals franchise on making the playoffs for the first time in it's history. Hell of a match-up and hell of a season. This team is stocked with young talent and will only get better. And how about those Detroit Red Wings with the upset? This is a team that managed 3 winning weeks ALL SEASON and they come in and knock off a Minnesota team who, during the regular season beat every 1-6 playoff team at least once (excluding Winnipeg which was a tie). Unreal.
Anyway, I ran the numbers and here are the predictions for the next round of match-ups:
6-4-2 San Jose* vs. Winnipeg
6-4-2 Vancouver* vs. Ottawa
8-2-2 Calgary vs. Anaheim*
9-1-2 Minnesota* vs. Carolina
5-5-2 Colorado* (Tiebreaker) vs. Washington
9-1-2 Toronto* vs. Detroit
* = Tiebreaker

What a week!! Underdog Winnipeg Jets stay hot with a wire to wire victory over the San Jose Sharks. After such a strong regular season rumour has it the SJ organization is on the look out for a new GM following the devastating defeat.
Winnipeg Jets are proud and honoured to be moving on to the finals. This is one of the most extensive fantasy hockey leagues around with some very strong hockey minds. Congratulations to Vancouver who came through a dog fight against Ottawa to reach the finals as well. This should be a battle from the start of puck drop tonight. It's been one hell of an exciting season!!
