I like the idea of opening trades back up after league finals. Could create some good action in the league. I

I know we have discussed this before..... but can we get some opinions again on reopening trades and trade talks from seasons end up until keeper submissions?? I believe this could be a very influential time in shaking up rosters and making quality changes. The draft orders are known by then and we could target keepers that we believe shore up certain categories. I still don't think keeper slots should be traded but most everything else there should be opportunity to acquire assets. As previously mentioned, allowing trades before keepers are submitted would defeat the purpose of the trade deadline. More importantly, it would defeat the purpose of not allowing keeper slots to be trade because allowing trades after the playoffs would essentially be the same thing. Top teams poaching assets for players who aren't going to be kept anyway. The rules are in place how they are so that there is talent to be drafted in the Waiver Draft. The top 4 teams in the league presumably have an abundance of talent whereas the rest of the teams in league often times don't. There is no reason in less talented teams paying a premium and giving up current/future assets to a top team (making the rich richer) for a player he can't keep anyway when the less talented team could have said player or players for "free" in the Waiver Draft. No matter how you slice it, the players top teams are losing are always going to be better than players less talented teams are losing. I would also be open to discussing potentially shrinking keeper slots to 8. To inspire more parity and add even more quality to the waiver draft. Just some thoughts as we move into another off season. This would also be difficult to implement, but it is not so far-fetched that we can't have a discussion. A lot of things would have to be re-structured so that those who have been building their teams under the 10 keeper assumption wouldn't suffer, starting with the Waiver Draft no longer being serpentine, and the top teams in the league getting the first picks. 1st place = first pick, 2nd place = second pick, etc. (1-12, 1-12, 1-12). Of course this is highly unlikely, but fun to discuss. Great job Commish, I agree with everything stated, I'm happy to see the Warning System back because it holds managers accountable. Firings should be a thing, I don't agree that team placement should play no part, you should be improving or you should be fired, my opinion. Otherwise you get managers who stay around sucking without making the playoffs for 10 years. You're either good or you're bad. You either have the ability to improve your team, within a reasonable amount of time, or you don't and need to be fired and replaced. I would suggest a 3 year window of opportunity, the Bottom 6 have 3 years to improve their standing by 2 placements. If you were in 12th place this past season you have 2 more seasons to make 10th place or better, etc. If you make the playoffs this rule doesn't apply, strictly for the Bottom 6. The system you are suggesting would be way too complicated and subject to too much scrutiny. There isn't any way to predict when top prospects will pan out or when injuries will completely derail a season, or poor goalie play will tank a team in the standings and so on and so forth. All of these things could, in theory, happen in succession and prevent a perfectly capable manager from meeting the requirements you are proposing. I am not saying it shouldn't be considered, but it can't solely be the reason to "fire" a GM.

Just a quick reminder, you must have available roster spot on your farm before or at the time of the transaction if you are signing or drafting prospect players. Same goes for your main roster with regular and minor leaguer players.

Just a reminder. The Waiver Draft is just a few days away. Get all your research in now. There is more talent available this year than any other previous year. Good luck and happy drafting.

Scary thing is, I don't even need to participate in this draft to win the league. Would you take a look at my beast team? Holy smokes is it sexy, Winona Ryder sexy. This draft will just accomplish adding even more icing to this, already calorie packed and extravagant, cake.

So in those respects the analogy works perfectly for your team.

All rosters have been updated post-Waiver Draft. Please check to make sure your team is accurate.
There are no waivers during the off-season. Open free agent signing will (tentatively) begin on September 1st, 2017 at 12:00 AM (Midnight) EST pending Yahoo league registration.

Missing Justin Williams RW And this is why I usually just do one update after the draft instead periodically throughout. Anyway, fixed.

I thought you were just adding players by the finished round and keeping track that way. My roster is perfection aside from the missing Christian Djoos prospect indicator star. Just gives me reason to bring some attention to that impressive name, Christian Djoos. Wow, just rolls off the tongue. I also want to argue that 25% dinger, akin to a parking ticket dispute, alright? My argument is this, there should be varying degrees of offenses. Does it make any sense whatsoever to hand out the same punishment for a missed 1st rounder and 9th rounder? Varying degrees, here's my breakdown, 25% for Waiver Rounds 1-3 + 1st Rounds in the Entry & Prospect drafts. 15% for Waiver Rounds 4-6 + 2nd Rounds in the Entry & Prospect drafts. 5% for Waiver Rounds 7-9 + 3rd Rounds in the Entry & Prospect drafts. I'm willing to take as much as a 10% hit but with the implementation of this punishment breakdown for the future. Thank you and...

In order to start the season on Yahoo I need all managers to sign up for the league. 11 out of 12 have done so this far. Still waiting on Anaheim. Let me know if there is an issue. Thanks.

Yikes, what is happening? It shouldn't take this long for a manager to join the Yahoo league.

Yikes, what is happening? It shouldn't take this long for a manager to join the Yahoo league. Perhaps the invite went to junk mail? Perhaps there is a different email that is checked more frequently that I need to send to. Regardless, not checking the forum for weeks on end is unacceptable as well.

No clue, I don't know him. Who is he? Is anybody in the league familiar with him? You might have to assume control of his team on Yahoo to create the league and, when/if he sees these messages, assign him to the Ducks when he's ready?
