There seems to be a ton of interest on this subject, so I feel a poll is warranted. This new roster of 9 players that is in question would accommodate the players drafted in the new prospect draft (implemented earlier this offseason) as well as any other prospect that has 10 NHL games experience (subject to debate)** Remember, a 2/3 majority vote (8/12) from the league is needed to implement a rule change. Happy voting.

I vote yes but also suggest maybe a 10 game max as opposed to 0

I'd say 10-25 game max, to allow for just drafted players who get the 9 game tryout and are then sent back to jr's to maintain eligibility.

The quick and overwhelming majority of the league has spoken. As it stands now, there are enough votes to implement the rule change. The new team roster will consist of 10 players (age 24 and younger) with 10 NHL games played or less.

I assume players can be sent from the original 19 player farm team to the development team if they qualify for it?
