League Trophy

This season NAFHL will be introducing a league trophy. This trophy will be engraved with a NAFHL logo, NAFHL pledge, and past NAFHL champions (from its inception) in hopes of continuing to add future winners to this trophy as well. The champion of the league will receive said trophy in the mail where it will be kept until a new NAFHL champion is crowned. In which case the trophy will then be sent to the new NAFHL champion.

However, such a luxury does not come without a cost. I have seen comparable trophies cost upwards of $400-800. But the one I have selected has a grand total (after engraving) of around $130 or so.

If it is not too much trouble, and with the approval of the league, I am requesting that this be a league expense, where each GM would donate $10 to the cause of obtaining this gem, and taking our league to the next step.

As soon as this is approved and I have received everyone's donation I will process the order for the NAFHL cup.

I have posted a picture of the trophy below. The trophy stands approximately 27 inches tall.

Really cool idea. Won't it cost a lot of money to have the trophy shipped each year though? Or do you plan on winning it every season?

Of course I plan on winning it every season. But if I don't, this is a nice tactic to subtly keep the league from trading with/helping out Markus-Hurricanes. Because lets face it, nobody wants to pay shipping to Finland.

In all seriousness though, I can't imagine shipping to be any more than $10 bucks a season. Maybe a little more for Markus. We will cross that bridge when we come to it though. Nothing terribly concerning at the moment.
