I was kinda wondering the same thing. There were not issues with me in the development league, except that maybe I was too active. Other than being reprimanded during the initial draft for using the 12 hours that I'm allowed for a pick. (Never gotten in trouble for following the rules before). Regardless, I'm over it, Der can sign Hertl and I'll live to play another day. I will be paying very close attention to my roster as to avoid any further "lazy" mistakes. 5 missed picks in less than a month and a half as GM of the Ducks has brought his warning level up to 100%. This of course means mandatory subjection to removal from the league. Another owner from the Development league is lined up and ready to assume control of the team should Brad be voted out. Anyway, missing this many picks is not only detrimental to the league (decreasing parity/increasing negativity) but to the Anaheim franchise as well for obvious reasons (missing out on the best players). Additionally, not making draft picks is a precursor to not setting ones lineup and/or not responding to the league PM's. If an individual can not be responsible enough to check the league once a day KNOWING he or she is expected to make a transaction that individual can not be relied upon to undertake other pertinent fantasy obligations. NAFHL is a premier fantasy league, and I am only looking for ways to make it better/more active. There is no room for laziness. Making matters worse is the fact that Brad - Ducks was online and "warned" via message that he would be up for removal if he missed one more pick. This warning was disregarded and the pick was allowed to be skipped anyway. To me, this is a blatant act of defiance that can not be tolerated. Please vote now.

a.) I understand that i've missed 2 picks in this draft, 1 only by a mere 2 hours. In my defense I've been on vacation for the past 9 days with limited internet connection and managed to check the boards every day regardless of the difficulty(with the exception of 1), it just happened to not be the correct time of day. In addition I am now in the middle of a move.
b.) I get up for work at 4:30am for work, when I was given this "warning" at nearly midnight last night, I had been asleep for nearly 4 hours so there goes your "blatant act of defiance".
c.) Calgary has now missed 2 picks simultaneously and there seems to be no fuss or issue with that.
Derrick, I don't know why you gave me the position because you've been fighting me since I took it over to try to get me out. To the league, I apologize for the "detriment" that I have caused despite my efforts.

I'm backing Brad on this one efforts have been made to fix any lateness in picks I know of his other struggles and yet still makes picks on time while being out on a lake in the middle of nowhere. Also I'd have to agree that Derrick has had a short leash on him for prior infractions in his last stint in the league but you really seem to have it in for Brad. There are maybe 3-4 GMs that are in this league that I routinely get prompt responses to those being Markus, Nos, Derrick, and Brad. Otherwise I either haven't dealt much with asking you about your players or when I do you flat out ignore PMs. So to get on Brad about that IMO is way off base.

I hear it was 5 missed picks, Brad says 2 I think (which ones?), I didn't think it was quite so many but then again I don't pay as close attention to the draft times as Derrick.
I'm going to vote 'No' he shouldn't be removed, my reason being he was just recently appointed GM of the Ducks, has made several trades and has gone through 3 drafts, there's not much else to do other than maybe fill out the team & trade. I feel like he should have the chance to manage the team he's put his fingerprints on into the season. I also don't feel like his commitment to the league is much of a problem. He does indeed respond to PM's promptly and is generally around to contact. Vacation + Moving, it's tough. Once the season starts and Brad is a little more settled into his normal 'routine' I don't see a problem arising.
Can't really punish someone for something they 'may' do, like when Derrick said it's a precursor to not setting lines, I don't really buy that. If that does come up it can be dealt with. Past incidents don't matter to me, once he was appointed the new Ducks GM he started with a clean slate as far as I'm concerned. He was judged, by Derrick, to be the best possible GM for the job. The only thing I'd say to you, Brad, is to take this as a warning, a means to better your involvement a little, don't give anyone a reason or excuse to put you up for removal.

Calgary missed one pick, and as a result had its subsequent picks skipped without penalty. You know, because those are the rules...ones you clearly have not read/don't understand. Shall I add that to the list of reasons why you should be removed as well? I gave you the position because you said and did all the right things at when they said and needed to be done. Additionally, I thought maybe with a little motivation you would get your act together and stop wasting your potential.

You must be talking about the message on xbox live that I didn't see until last night.. To claim that I intentionally missed a pick is irrational. My apologies

I will vote no only because we don't need another Ducks GM already. The team is ready for the season and Brad should get a chance to take that team into the season.

Voted no. I've never had any trouble contacting Brad via pm and he was willing to go on msn with me before. Meanwhile, I could never seem to get any kind of response from Hannu, who I had no problem being replaced. Summers are always a bit random for some people.

Oh glad you could come back to the boards Robyn... I vote that Robyn is removed for missing 2 consecutive picks You should concentrate on making the playoffs for the first time and not hassling an inaugural GM who has been active on the boards since 2006.

Is it not a 2/3's rule when it comes to removal of GMs? If so, the 5 "No" votes makes it statistically impossible to reach the required 2/3s (8) "Yes" votes to have me removed. Correct me if I'm wrong?
In addition, I believe it was Markus that posted No on the thread but just didn't vote on the poll. That makes 6 No's (Brad, Chris, Nos, Tyler, Markus, Mark) which should be more than enough to close the book on this one.
Thanks again for the support fellas, I'm looking forward to a good season of fantasy hockey.

It is a matter of owning up to ones league responsibilities. I don't care if it mathematically impossible or not. Additionally, a 7-5 vote in favor of removing you from the league serves as a much more powerful indicator should there be issues in the future than a 5-5 poll. Keep that in mind. And no, it is not Markus who has yet to vote.

Okay and that's fine. I'm just saying that per the thread, there are 6 no votes (Myself, Chris, Nos, Tyler, Markus, Mark) where as the poll only reflects 5. And a 7-5 vote in favor of keeping me in the league is much more favorable than a 5-5 so keep that in mind
