Are we going to keep the trade deadline as March 7th or do you guys think it should be extended due to the lockout? March 7th was the full season mark. The actual trade deadline is April 3rd. I was thinking it should be extended at least two weeks if not right up to the real life NHL Trade Deadline. What does the league think?

Yahoo actually recently added extra deadline dates which is the reason I posted. Our Fantasy Hockey players asked, and we delivered.
We have added three trade deadline options for private league commissioners to select:
Thursday, March 28
Thursday, April 4
Thursday, April 11
Use the Edit League Settings commish tool to change your trade deadline. |

I think we should leave it the 21st of March. 28th is ok too just not into April.

Anyway, I don't see any reason not to extend it to the real life NHL Trade Deadline. That way we can actually see how the teams have shaped up and have a day to finalize any last minute frenzy style deals propelled by the real life deadline. |

That was before the 21st was finalized as deadline date. Doesn't matter to me as much I guess since I am a seller. Just don't agree with playoff teams being able to acquire players that only get statistics for your team in the weeks of the playoffs. With our league having the last 3 weeks of regular season as "playoffs" acquired players should have to register games played in the last week before our playoffs begin.
