Let's try this again. In order to "legitimize" the league, make it more appealing, and ultimately even more awesome than it already is, I feel as though we need a tangible league trophy. Last time this was brought up, we were able to collectively raise a staggering stack of cash, to the tune of $30.00 USD (Thanks to the Sharks and Red Wings organizations). But since the trophy (complete with engraving for the past 7 years) will initially be somewhere in the $150.00-200.00 USD range (not including annual update), I am asking the league for its input on the matter, and if interested, to donate ($10-15) in order to make this thing a reality. The idea would be to send this to each year's Champion where he would keep it until dethroned (pictures of "your summer with the trophy" are expected). All of these things would create a deeper sense of league history and really has unlimited potential. In my opinion, the design that best combines functionality with aesthetics: Discuss. Discuss.

I want to give the league a big heads up here. I work for a sports store in London Ontario and I know I can have anything literally anything we want made up for an annual trophy for much less then $250. If you guys all want to take a look at the website. Caldwell Recognition is the company my store uses and I get cost on all items. I will put together a couple of photos as well with different options and setups. We can also do a very inexpensive personal trophy for guys to keep on top of the annual one you ship to the winner.

A (better) alternative trophy, per Tyler's suggestion.

Just giving some options. I like the trophy you suggested better, but need more details. What the material? Price? Does the quoted price include the engraving (which is the most expensive part)? Can it be updated annually? How much is the annual update? Etc. Etc.

The wood is walnut. The little figures are just plastic screw on pieces. The plates silver (probably dipped so silver coated) and cost would be about $130 that would include our initial plates engraved and sublimation of whatever you want down the Center piece (NAFHL) is what I was thinking. Annual updates are easy you just add a plate. Cost for just one year I am not sure. Post anymore questions on here and I will answer as quick as I can.

I prefer Tyler's design but I don't know that I'm sold on it. I'd prefer something similar to the actual Stanley Cup, I've seen some designs in the past and if we're going for it why not go for it? I'd be willing to kick in extra as well.
