Welcome to the league Jeff. Will hopefully be the first time during my time here (is it 5th season starting already?) that every team has an active GM. Don't be afraid to ask questions and propose trades, never hurts to ask even if the player(s) in question might not be available.

In my opinion the Red Wings don't need to be rebuilt, the franchise just needs a good GM who will properly manage the team. Before this past season or two the Red Wings were a perennial playoff team. Maybe a simple retooling through the upcoming drafts is in order. Having the #1 overall never hurts. In any event, Jeff will be afforded leniency during this offseason and will be exempt from any "penalty" as he learns the ropes. |

I meant rebuilt to the way he would like his team. There are solid pieces in place on that roster.

Thanks for the welcome guys! Looking forward to joining this league sounds like a lot of fun. Been going over the rulebook since joining, definitely gonna be a lot fun. Enjoy the draft tonight and yes the first overall pick does help!!!
