WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 30TH at 12:00 MIDNIGHT EST FREE AGENT SIGNING WILL BEGIN.
Once again, this is based strictly on a first come first serve basis. When the clock strikes midnight, all managers will simultaneously be "unlocked" and free to start the free agent madness.
However, before doing so, all managers must submit an "Official Roster" thread in the "Rosters" forum. This thread must contain an official team listing of (no more than) 19 players, and an official farm team listing of (no more than) 19 players as well. Please make sure that you make the necessary moves (add/drop or call up/send down) in order to meet these requirements. To be fair, I'm going to ask that your roster be submitted no later than 10:00 PM EST on Tuesday night so that your team can be modified to your liking in a timely fashion before Free Agent signing starts. Naturally, the sooner you submit your roster, the better.
IF AN OFFICIAL ROSTER THREAD IS NOT SUBMITTED FOR YOUR TEAM YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SIGN FREE AGENTS UNTIL IT IS RECEIVED.
Pre-Free Agent signing: If you must drop an active "Regular" make a post stating so on the yahoo message board. Prospects/Minor Leaguers who need to be dropped or called up/sent down should be posted in the "Farm Transactions" under their respective team as usual.
Format to be followed: [insert team name] releases [insert player] to Free Agents.
[insert team name] calls up/sends down [insert player]
2.) When adding a "Prospect," he does not need to go to "the big club" first. Prospects you sign can be sent directly to the farm.
Format to be followed: [insert team name] signs [insert player] to farm team.
3.) If a minor leaguer/regular player is not in the yahoo database you will need to make a post on both the yahoo message board and "farm transactions" board claiming this player. THIS PLAYER WILL TAKE UP A ROSTER SPOT ON YOUR TEAM If this player is a minor leaguer and you wish to send him down, he will be subject to waivers.
Format to be followed: [insert team name] signs [insert player name] from free agents.
Post-Free Agent signing: At 12:00 MIDNIGHT EST the following day (Thursday, August 31st) the waiver rule will come into play. Any Minor Leaguer that is sent down will be subject to waivers.
