I'd like to cool my stance a little bit, I may have gotten a touch heated, though I'd like to point out that I never directly called anybody a 'name'. It was implied. Sometimes a strong stance is necessary for people to take notice and to improve. I like you, Tyler, as both a GM and person. There could never be a rift between us. Intentional collusion didn't happen but there's more at stake, and more needs to be considered. The Detroit Red Wings franchise needs to be considered. I've never seen such an exchange before, it will always be unacceptable to me. There's a call for parity but this isn't the way to achieve it. The strong teams are strong because they have the best hockey minds in the league. 'Catching up' in this way insults me as a GM, and as a fan of the game and fantasy sports in general. If you're after a deal of this caliber, I expect a depletion of assets, blue chip prospects and picks, to hinder your own future to do better right now, to do better than you should. The team receiving should have a better and brighter future, the Detroit Red Wings don't have that, they'll have a post apocalyptic aftermath to deal with, or bail on. Applying the knowledge I have about the type of deal Jeff and I were working on prior to this really makes me question it as well. I was after 1 of these 4 players and had offered 3 players, 1 of these players was more valuable than the entirety of the Winnipeg Jets deal, in my opinion anyway, and the Jets got 3 extra quality players in addition. Weird. It will remain one of those peculiar deals I suppose since the league has already shot the veto down without much critical thought. Yeah, that's right, I'm calling out the 'No' voters.

If the deal is put through I would like to be an honest and up front GM. I believe the waiver pick should be switched to my first round just to ensure Detroit has a shot at a keeper quality player. This should add a touch more value and hopefully help to ease the minds of some GM's. I still believe in the trade but I also see some excellent points made by everyone over the last couple days.

You will need to take this up with Jeff. You guys can restructure the deal and then both accept the new terms of the trade (if any)in this same thread. I think this is a noble gesture, but if Detroit is trying to get "younger" none of these waiver picks will achieve that, and ultimately yield at best an Alex Steen type player. But maybe Jeff knows something we don't. Who knows.

I just want to say in addition to my comments, KUDOS on all the GM's participating through conversation or even voting, I had noticed quite a lull over the year and it is nice to see everybody concerned no matter how GM's voted. It shows that at the very least people do care about how the league operates.

Is the poll finished or do we need to wait on the last vote??

Based on the votes I believe the decision has been made. But I do believe we have to wait for the last vote for it to be official if I'm not mistaken.

Worth looking into if there's something that can be done about that.

Technically speaking the last vote must be placed according to the rules, but in this instance it isn't going to affect the outcome of the poll so I went ahead and processed the trade. If the last remaining GM does not vote within the allotted 2 week time frame, he will be penalized and "warned" on the forum.

Truth be told I staged this whole trade fiasco because I noticed a lack of activity as well. Tyler posted a much more fair trade initially but I went in an edited it to get a rise out of the league.

I want to officially change the waiver pick from 2015 2nd round to 2015 1st round waiver.
