Joe Thornton for Semin/Eaves/Sanford, the Hintz for Lankinen/Chychrun trade, the Kyrou for DeSmith/Jost trade, the Saros for Vesey trade, the Sebastian Aho for Talbot/Nilsson trade, the Marchand for Bozak/Gardiner trade, the Kopitar/Rinne/1st Waiver for Heatley/Backstrom (G)/Grabner trade, and the Rask for Irving trade. Who is it in record loop here? Hey Chris, that was posted in response to his record loop. If he's looping with the same arguments I guess I'll post up the same responses as well, right?

Honest Abe. His name is Abe. And he is honest. What a trooper for stepping in on short notice during this tumultuous time. He has been a consummate professional and super receptive to learning in attempt to being brought up to speed prior to the Waiver Draft. Assist with any questions he might have while he becomes acclimated and join me in welcoming him to the league. Welcome!

Every trade you continue to cite that I have made was made under extremely different circumstances. If anything, you are just highlighting my ability to trade for top talent in hindsight. All of my trades were made when they were prospects, this trade is for an 80 point winger, 100 point dman, AND 7 spots up in the first round of the waiver draft NOW. You continuing to try to drive this narrative is tired and dishonest. I will not be responding to any more of this garbage just so you can hear yourself talk. If you have something constructive to add, please do so. Otherwise, kindly go kick rocks. I've been giving constructive thoughts constantly. You're like a child with his fingers in his ears yelling at the top of his lungs. You're whining, throwing another tantrum, you traded 2 sub-30 point players and a backup goalie for Hall of Famer Joe Thornton who had just scored 125 points and scored another 114 points the next year. You didn't trade before nothing.

I'm willing to accept that Derrick thought it was a joke based on his thinking on the trade. It is our job as managers to ensure roster updates have been completed, after drafts and what not we always double check to make sure all updates were made why would a trade be any different. The articles being posted could be seen as a joke if the initial trade post was seen as one, simply seen as a joke to get us all through the slowest part of our summer here. It's 12 teams and constant roster updates, Derrick on his own can't be expected to track and not miss every single transaction 365. All that being said, if Seattle and Vancouver can come up with an acceptable compromise I'd say that's probably the best possible outcome. Come on Chris, the trade wasn't posted as a joke, it was posted as a real trade with both parties accepting. This is just another excuse. If he thought it was a joke ask about it, that's the Commissioner's job. And this is where it gets old, you're not willing to accept anything anywhere in this league. You constantly drabble on about whatever you're latched on to at the moment and then if someone doesn't agree it's beat them into submission with argument. You're never able to agree to disagree or anything it's your opinion period that's the only acceptable outcome for you. Otherwise we're all just lesser minds and blah blah blah. Derrick typically is at the brunt of it and plays along far to long IMO. Perfect example here you've asked him to explain and he did now you can't accept it so he's lying. He explains again still lying. Simple fact is previous ownership took his ball and went home over a simple statement of comparison on how long it would take a trade to go through. New manager comes in and rather than being welcoming you're combative as hell with him.

No idea what you're talking about Chris. Now you're making excuses. It was a joke? Yeah, okay. You know it's not now though and the outcome of the poll is decided. You actually think Derrick treated Bob kindly? His explanation is poor. It's an excuse. Derrick doesn't like that trade but then goes on to make past trades of that caliber and you're okay with that? You don't see the hypocrisy? Also, I have been welcoming of him despite these poor circumstances, it has absolutely nothing to do with him.

Do you think Derrick treated Bob kindly? Do you see the hypocrisy in complaining about a trade like this when in the past he acquired Joe Thornton for that package?

Quite frankly, I've been on vacation and reading/keeping up with all this BS has added a damper to my peace and relaxation. Had this been dealt with a month ago, like it should have been, I wouldn't have to be thinking about all this nonsense especially when I have a Waiver Draft to prepare for while I'm on holidays which makes things even more difficult.
Derrick has been a swell Commissioner for many years, but thinking a trade is a joke (and not even laughing at it or commenting on it, I'm still confused on that) is absolutely bush league stuff.
Like I've said many times already, the time factoring into it is major for my ability to manage my team. I would've conducted myself way differently had this been vetoed at the time.
I will be making my selection at 4th overall, welcome to the league Honest Abe!
Moving forward, let's not have any "jokes" posted in the NAFHL Trade Talk threads where accepted trades are posted and if there are any disputes with trades please bring them up within 48 hours of being processed.
