Forgive me if I'm not as excited to see you as a new manager Abe but a good manager was unjustly harassed out of the league a few days ago to make way for you. Going over your 15 year history on Yahoo you have 3 bronze trophies and are already involved in 4 basketball leagues this season, I hope you have the right focus for our league. The previous owner of the Kraken, Bob, had 9 Gold trophies, 8 Silver trophies & 11 Bronze trophies in the same amount of time. Regardless, welcome to the league and I hope you have a fun time!

Those basketball leagues are super casual...I'm 100% focused on hockey.My Yahoo rating isn't high because I've been quite all over place with my fantasy leagues over the years.I join free leagues but sooo many of them really suck for one reason or the other.Wben I find a good one,I'm as committed as they come.I have to admit I'm a little worried about the drama already in this league,hope it clears up!

It's a bummer right now, gotta be honest, at least for me it is being that it's still fresh but that's not on you at all. I am happy to have you especially before the Waiver Draft so you can actually somewhat put together the team you want for the upcoming season!

My track record speaks for itself, I don't need to waste my time defending myself. There is a Waiver Draft to prepare for. This is supposed to be a welcome thread, but you have hijacked it with YOUR negativity attacking a new GM and saying you aren't very excited to have him. Talk about being self-absorbed. Abe, if you would like a more accurate representation of how things are generally conducted our where the source of negativity originates ask literally any other league mate (excluding Sharks/Canucks). Or just dig through the hundreds of threads at your leisure. I for one am thrilled that you are a part of the league and I have no doubt you will do a fantastic job managing this team. Some people don't realize that there are other fantasy sites out there other than Yahoo. |

This has been going on sporadically for 18 years. Every once in a blue moon something will happen, we all call each other names and argue about who is right and who is wrong then it will blow over and it is back to business. Just super unfortunate the timing of it all and the circumstances in which you are being brought into the league, but hey. What can you do? The Waiver Draft waits for no man. Onward and upward as they say.

Indeed, luckily everything is public and can be reviewed and anybody with any sense will see what's what. Facts remain, I didn't say anything that was not factual, you have done all these things as recently as a few days ago. The only negativity is coming directly from you and any residual negativity in response is caused by you. I didn't attack the GM, I welcomed him, I notified him of some of the shit that's going on right now. Stated facts. Abe, are you a part of any other fantasy sites other than Yahoo? I would have thought that would be in your first response to me when explaining your credentials. Anyway, don't let our beef deter you Abe! Like I said, it's not on you.

My favorite sport by far as always been hockey.Been a massive Leafs fan since 1993.Have done fantasy on and off for at least 15+ years.My favorite is H2H cats and I prefer Dynasty over keeper or redraft.

A dynasty would be cool! Been a Canucks fan all my life and remember the magical '94 run and ousting the Leafs in double OT to go to the Stanley Cup Finals! Man, my Mom was like 'This could go on forever, you need to get some sleep for school.' so angrily I went to bed before the OT goal was scored and immediately all I hear in bed is the city going crazy, horns honking out my window, I ran to the TV to catch the replay. 14 seconds in. So cool. I also remember going out on the balcony to see all of the craziness, the hooting and hollering, the lights, horns. Gives me chills thinking about it now. |
