This is a bad trade for Seattle, what were you thinking? People will look back at what you gave other managers and not like what they see and that's because you're one of those managers too afraid to make any deals whatsoever unless it's an out of the park home run, making others nervous to deal with you, at least they should be. I just gave Bob - Kraken a 21 year old stud who's slaying along with a blue chip prospect for a top player, sure, but an elder top player and a reasonable pick upgrade. This trade gives him another young on the cusp superstar, 2 years younger than Pastrnak, and a Top 12 Entry Draft pick in one of the deepest drafts maybe in history. These trades make his team younger, deeper and in the long run better. You know how many top guys I've drafted or acquired and had to let go of for inferior assets? Just off the top of my head, Hedman, Hamilton, Morrissey, McAvoy, Guentzel & Hintz. My point is, there be gold in these here Shark Hills! Look at a manger's history of assets if you want to know who to deal with. Me. Not Robyn.

Just to be extra clear here since certain people seem to want to cut me down at any opportunity, demeaning my assets and attempting to make managers I deal with uneasy instead of working harder themselves and improving on your own weaknesses instead of getting scared, here's a list of the past 10 NAFHL Entry Drafts Robyn and I have participated in tracked against each other...
2013 Sharks: Aleksander Barkov, Valeri Nichushkin, Curtis Lazar, Josh Morrissey & Tristan Jarry 2013 Flames: Zach Fucale & Michael McCarron
2014 Sharks: Leon Draisaitl, Sam Bennett & Adrian Kempe 2014 Flames: Nick Ritchie
2015 Sharks: Mikko Rantanen, Mathew Barzal, Lawson Crouse & Mitch Vande Sompel 2015 Flames: Ilya Samsonov, Denis Gurianov & Jeremy Roy
2016 Sharks: Logan Brown, Carter Hart & Charlie McAvoy 2016 Flames: William Nylander
2017 Sharks: Timothy Liljegren & Joel Eriksson Ek 2017 Flames: Cody Glass & Nikita Popugaev
2018 Sharks: Vitali Kravtsov & Ryan Donato 2018 Flames: Barrett Hayton, Rasmus Kupari, Liam Foudy, Akil Thomas & Serron Noel
2019 Sharks: Vasili Podkolzin, Dylan Cozens, Cam York, Pyotr Kochetkov & Pavel Dorofeyev 2019 Flames: Bowen Byram, Alex Newhook, Arthur Kaliyev
2020 Sharks: Seth Jarvis & Adam Beckman 2020 Flames: Alexander Holtz, Yegor Chinakhov & Lukas Reichel
2021 Sharks: Simon Edvinsson, Matthew Coronato, Corson Ceulemans & Carson Lambos 2021 Flames: Kent Johnson, Aatu Raty & Tyler Boucher
2022 Sharks: David Jiricek, Liam Ohgren & Mattias Havelid 2022 Flames: Frank Nazar, Jimmy Snuggerud & Gleb Trikozov
So tell me, who has the better assets me or you Robyn? Bob - Kraken sees something you don't see, and judging by the lack of quality in your overall drafting, I don't expect you to see what that is.

Why are you making this SJ vs Calgary? I just said this was a poor trade for Bob to make.
You're one of the best fantasy GMs in the world*, is that what you want to hear? How should we all show our praise for you going forward? Trophies? Erect a statue in your honour? Name our first born children after you? Close public schools on your birthday? Have you ever had a ZJ? I'm sure you'll have more ideas in your upcoming autobiography.

Wow,I didnt realize that making a trade that will bear fruit in future seasons to come was so well chatted about. Don't pay close attention to it, mostly people get super jealous around here when they don't have the required skills to be able to work back and forth with GMs to conduct a trade respectfully. They think being impertinent will get them somewhere, and take great joy in chopping you down when they don't agree on an OPENING OFFER.

Lol you offered a few months of Lehkonen for Devon Levi. Next time I'll counter with Mcdavid.

Lol you offered a few months of Lehkonen for Devon Levi. Next time I'll counter with Mcdavid. Yeah...and you stated your OPINION that Levi was a Top 10-20 goalie prospect, which he is most certainly not. He's more of a "long shot" prospect that could pan out but is well behind UPL in my OPINION. You know, opinions, these things people have that differ from person to person and can be discussed respectfully without coming across as a total prick? Lehkonen (a player you claimed "wouldn't even make my forward roster" but would become a Top 10 performing player on the Flames) is a Top 100 performing player on the top line of the defending Stanley Cup Champions skating alongside the likes of MacKinnon & Rantanen. Even when the recently surgically repaired Landeskog returns there's not a guarantee he goes anywhere given how well he's playing. Worst care scenario he plays with Nichushkin. Point here is, this isn't an outrageous starting offer when someone has no idea what you'd be looking for in return without having some constructive dialogue. Instead you get condescending replies.

To Seattle: Drake Batherson 2023 1st Round Entry To San Jose: David Pastrnak I accept. The trade on Yahoo has been disallowed pending the outcome of this discussion. There has been enough concern raised from the league that a veto poll is warranted. Normally we try to avoid this if at all possible, but even I am I struggling to see the logic behind this move, present or future, from any angle. There is less than 2 years difference in age between the two players so that is negligible, they both play they same position so there is not an argument of improving roster balance to be made (Pastrnak #1 RW in the league), Pastrnak plays for the best team in the league, Batherson plays for one of the worst so at BEST Batherson is aspiring to be in the position Pastrnak is in. It is obvious Bob is still learning and getting acclimated with the league. Now is the time to assist in that and offer advice, not try and lead him astray or justify what is, by every observable metric, a bad trade. It is very apparent why the Sharks want to make this trade, but I would like to hear from Bob and why he is interested in this deal. Last the league heard, Pastrnak was not available.

This is so funny, you actually vetoed the trade? What grounds do you have to do such a thing? CalGARYcoleman Flames traded Alex Newhook, a player who hasn't shown even close to the same thing Drake Batherson has to this point, Batherson has actually been performing at a point per game clip for a few seasons now and is heating up big time, for Nazem Kardi who outperformed David Pastrnak last season, outranked him, outpointed him PLUS ANOTHER 1st Round Waiver pick next season...for Alex Newhook. What the fuck? I'm giving Batherson and ANOTHER 1st Entry pick. This is a great example of the hypocrisy in this league in regards to anything I do. The hatred, and why? It's because I'm that...damn...good. It's because I'm better than you...and you know it!
Derrick, you won this last week by being fortunate with your shitty goalies putting up good peripherals while losing their games, you turtled and survived. Your goalies will go back to getting a sub .900 this week just like they've been trading off all season long. You also had 12 extra skater starts to barely squeak by, another entire day's roster worth, and you're happy with your performance? All things even you'd be torched easily. I wouldn't put it past you to have intentionally looked ahead in the schedule to see when your team had such a lopsided starts advantage, Hell, if you can't tell me exactly how you came to position the matchups at the start of the year that's exactly what happened. Just random right?
Nonsense.

Robyn is the only one who has actually said anything of 'concern', a single manager, by this logic if anybody shows any concern whatsoever in regards to any future trade it should be put up to veto as well lest you be a hypocrite. I guess Robyn should have been shutdown for that Newhook debacle after all. Here I thought vetoes were for cheating rather than differing opinions.
