Just a friendly reminder. In accordance with Section IX, Article B of the NAFHL Rulebook:
Please make sure all free agent acquisitions that you intend to make are done so before the start of the fantasy playoffs (3/19/12). No free agent pick-ups will be allowed after this date. This also includes teams that earn the bye.
Additionally, the streaming of farm players under this rule will be strictly monitored and expressly prohibited under Section I, Article 7 that states:

I can't remember, but weren't there special circumstances that you could pick up a FA if you get a player injured onto IR during the playoffs?

There seems to be a bit of confusion about what transactions can be made during the playoffs. So with that said:
-Any movement (calling up/sending down) among one or both farm clubs is permitted -Players may be claimed off waivers when trying to be sent down -NO PLAYER may be signed from "free agents" regardless of regular, prospect, or minor leaguer status

Just a reminder? That's not very friendly. If you are too friendly, people start to take advantage. Duh.

All rosters (as well as the Unavailable Players thread) has been updated for the 2012-2013 season.

Tomas Hertl (25th overall) will be entered into the 2012 Waiver Draft. No roster spot is/was available now/at the time of his drafting. Should he go undrafted, he will then be eligible to be freely signed upon the completion of the waiver draft.

Really? First, you allow your pick to be skipped because your 12 hour time limit expires. Then you hobble back in here a day or more later to select Teravainen (a guy who was selected 6th overall; arguably a top 3 forward in the draft) with the 25th Overall Pick. The 25th pick. Sorry guys. The Ducks select LW Teuvo Teravainen Lastly, you are the ONLY GM in the entire league who didn't make the necessary roster adjustments pre-draft. Not to mention it was almost another 2 days before the roster pages were updated, and you STILL did not make the necessary transactions. All of the above indicates that you you are not paying attention to the fantasy league and/or the real life NHL. Yet I am the dick? Come on, where is the accountability? Take some responsibility. If you want to stick in the big leagues, you better start acting like it.

Understood. Good luck picking up Hertl in the waiver draft/free agency.

Derrick used a full measure here. Pretty harsh. I don't necessarily agree with it but I see the point he's trying to make, to you Brad, and the rest of the league. Perhaps a lighter touch was warranted in this situation, a one time PM warning explaining the same thing you did in this thread. Tough to lose that pick so early in your tenure with the Ducks. I'd vote for a one time warning in this instance but any further discrepancies to be punished to the fullest extent.
I think Derrick made his point.

Yea I get the point.. A bit harsh in my opinion as well. As soon as it was brought to my attention, I immediately made the necessary adjustment. It's not as if I was not logging into the boards, I've been on every day as a matter of fact. It was just an oversight on my part.

That's how I see it as well, typically in the past Derrick has personally told managers to make room if room needs to be made. I can see him getting sick of that after a while, wanting managers to own up to their teams but you have indeed been online every day, pretty much, that I've noticed anyway. Like you said, it was an oversight.

Does seem like an oversight since you've been pretty active on the boards. I always assumed there was a grace period after prospect draft where you could be over max limit, but you had to trim down your rosters before the a certain date (like start of season or end of August after all drafts?).

This is how it should operate. It was like this before, in the beginning, where you'd have a final roster submission date and you'd have to make cuts before this date. I personally like that system, a sort of training camp. The way it's set up now is by roster space by the time of signing/drafting.
