I deleted the post. I didn't see there were two trades and I thought I saw SJ was trading you a 2012 7th pick, not 2013.

I think we're setting a record with this waiver draft. Tomorrow will make 3 weeks!

I also didn't trade pick 23, it's was 17 and 30 for 13 so I should still have pick 23 I apologize. Sometimes I have a slight touch of M.R. In any event, the corrections of the corrections...of the corrections should now be fixed. Let's try and keep all discussion in the "Draft Discussion" thread and out of the main draft threads. Thanks guys.

What does everyone think of the draft thus far? I was surprised to see Ekblad go 1st overall, that's not to say he didn't deserve that position, exceptional status player and all. I was extremely happy to get Draisaitl & Bennett with my picks. I also love the pick of Ehlers by Chris - Capitals. He'll be a beaut.

Def a good pick by Chris. Was hoping he'd fall to me. No huge surprises thus far!

Ekblad does have descent offensive capabilities, I see him as a top 2-way F-man on his team for a long time, I was torn between Trouba and Ehlers but decided to grab someone to help me out now. N just a heads up to Derrick, as long as you make your pick b4 1am est I should make my pick right after you. I will be checking back on here every few mins, figured if put it out there since we have the next 4 picks to try and speed things up.

Trouba will be great for you, he could even turn out to be elite, I like his play and was tossing around picking him up but when Bennett fell I had to take him, without hesitation.

Haha funny thing was I had a feeling you may take him so I was attempting to try and move into the #2 slot just to be safe, but luckily it looks like we both got our guys. Ehlers was tempting but hard to say no to a guy who has 10 goals in the NHL as a rookie D-man with missing 17 games.

Bennett is a pretty good pick at 4th overall for a player who can do half a pull up. NHL ready.......2018-19?

Bennett is a pretty good pick at 4th overall for a player who can do half a pull up. NHL ready.......2018-19? 01. Know what you're talking about before talking about it. Bennett has done several pull ups in succession on TSN to disprove this allegation. 02. Fortunately muscle and strength are some of the easier attributes to improve in time, especially for an 18 year old. 03. Even if it did take until 2018-2019 (it won't) it would be just fine with me. 04. Sam Bennett lead the OHL in PPG average for his draft class in addition to impeccable peripherals. 05. Sam Bennett gave his mother a black eye, don't believe for one second that he wouldn't do the same to your 'stars'.

Firstly, Calgary would like to say hello to all their fans at the offical draft party down at Flames Central. Next, we'd like to congratulate ourselves for back to back NAFHL championships. With the 7th overall pick of the 2016 NAFHL entry draft, the Calgary Flames are proud to select, from the Toronto Maple Leafs, William Nylander. 2 things... 1st, this Nylander was drafted in 2014 by the Leafs, I thought this draft was only available to this years draft class... 2nd, if this is allowed how in the world was he still available??? 🤔

We typically don't see this happen because the best prospects from previous years are usually already signed/drafted and the remaining ones don't measure up to the top prospects available in the current draft year. However, Nylander slipped through the cracks due to asset mismanagement. He was left on the farm-farm team past 10 NHL games played and was forfeited to suspended waivers.
